{quote} You have a strategy for JForex named "Breakeven & SL". You can find it in the Jstore. It is developped by Dukascopy and it is free.

Thanks man. Please bare with me. Im still new to Jforex Platform. Hope they are similar to mt4 which you can get almost all types of scripts, indicators. Mostly i use takion platform and other equity platform like TOS. Thanks you so much for the info. I find it easy to replicate Tsunami method with my own twist specially if you are train to trade in the micro level and you are timing the market everyday on the short term sentiment like in minutes or hours sentiment. Breaking even should be easy and should be more than 70%. I use range 1pt on equities as an intraday trader for towerhill

Maybe I'm missing something but with this thread and with Pipeasy's thread why set the s/l to b/e?
If your up 30,40, 50 pips or more and price does reverse on you why not try to "steal" 5 or 10 pips to cover the cost of doing business on the next trade? Whenever I'm stopped out it seems price just blows thru my stop so having a small gain ahead of the b/e mark would not have seemed to matter. In the long run it would seem to have a bigger effect because to pick up 5 pips on 40 losing trades seems to give you some fresh ammo to continue on. I might be missing something obvious so please enlighten me.
Thanks
Lisa

I think it is psychological to move to BE, that way you just leave it alone and see if it goes anywhere. You could also just take 50% when you reach 50 pips profit.

Just stumbled on this thread. It is very nice and kind of Femaz to share his method and experiences and I thank him for this. However, I am quite amazed at the many insinuations of this being something new on FF and shown on FF for the first time. This is what Graeme spent his entire time and efforts (over 300+ pages) showing/explaining in his thread Building an equity millipede. Of course people that have not spent the time and effort to read that thread will never realy grasp or appreciate the essence of this method - entry method does not matter (just come up with an entry method of yours that has a high probability of getting to BE), enter, move to BE and forget about it. Take trades in both directions as dictated by your entry method. The market will eventually decide the fate of the trades/show you the trend. Really the most difficult bit of this method is not the entry but the MM - when to diversify (close some trades and leave a few open for the long run), and this is something that is going to be individual as there is no such thing as the perfect time to diversify.

Wonder if someone has made an EA to take trades after Fez when a candle closes above below a swing, sending a pending order.

I have traded this way since reading Millipede thread approx 4 years ago. Prior to that scalped my life away. I found if you can scalp successfully you can make this work really well. I should say I still use this approach but my entry method isn't always the same and varies depending how much time I have on a given day. However I can say with certainty that if you have the skills to scalp your way into a position at a Monthly/Weekly important level, this approach is very rewarding. I don't think it has ever taken me more than about 12 attempts...

Trading is like making love to a beautiful woman, it's not the entry that's important, it's what you do when you're in there that counts

Interesting comment... And yet I strongly suspect most women would quite object to any entry attempts before the right time had arrived and without the right elements and ambiance being present leading up to this blessed "entry" event...

As Mr. Graeme would say.... It's all relative.

Hello all. Sadly it seems we have reached my final 'official' post. But let us not dwell upon that now, I shall get started. A typical trade life-cycle This is just to give you a rough idea of the different stages that any single trade may be in at any given point in time. The loser This is any trade that is currently in negative, or has not yet proceeded enough pips in your favour to move onto the next stage. Trades do not stay here very long at all - Perhaps an hour max with the type of stop that I use. The baby ripple These are trades that are...

Excellent, Fezmar, just excellent! Best wishes and continued success!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and your method. This thread is right up there with Graeme's in my book...
(too bad it's now in the Recycle Bin...but you show your character by honoring your friends' wishes and opinions. Classy...)

Hi Pips

Thanks. If you are looking for something uncomplicated and easy to execute you need look no further than here and early Millipede thread. Unfortunately the age old problem happens of people trying to look for things which aren't there or necessary. Why people need things to be complicated is beyond me. Good Luck with your journey

Fez,

Thanks kindly for your time and efforts in putting this thread together. Some day I hope to muster the courage to give it a real go, for now I shall just continue with what for me is a method that comes more easily and naturally to me, I guess. Once I've developed real confidence in the application of my method and know that I can fall back on it whenever I need to, I reckon I'll be ready to give this approach a solid go.

Thanks for your efforts, I hope you continue to reap the benefits of it.

Cheers
Lance

I follow Fez's idea to move trade to BE by using EA. But the EA below only works for 1 trade.
If I open another trade onto the same pair, it wont works!

Can anyone modify it?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure why it would only do one (haven't looked, not a coder), but if you search for "Multi-purpose trade management EA" on ff, I've found that pretty handy. (Although it's in commercial section, it is free).
1 pip at a time ... if the entries are strong, the rest will follow ...

For anyone who wants to experiement - cTrader comes with a pretty decent trade management tools built-in such as move to BE and close partial positions.

The draw back is that cTrader is extremely slow loading up charts or switching time frame. So I only open the pairs I'm trading on it while still monitoring the rest on MT4 which is lighting fast.
