Well I'm in but weekly R1 looking a bit worrying so gone to BE immediately..

Thought as much Weekly R1 proving too tough a nut to crack, out at BE. Might be better to wait for break and retest of it....

Of course from a 5 min traders point of view a great place to buy BRN weekly R1 and yesterday high...break and retest of 1.8725 back up????

I took that GBPAUD 5 min setup break and retest of 1.8725 but maybe I should of gone for the EURAUD as clear EUR strength across the board now so might have to swap horses...

looking at your gbpaud 5min clive...id put stop under HLand see if this long could be c to d on a larger move

Nope all the way up about 20 pips then all the way back down again and out for nowt...

Hmmm should of taken my 20 pips of course with hindsight but I did have my eye on that bigger picture and thought looking at 5 min and hrly we could be going higher , probably will later but just not this time...

Oh well lets have a look at this EUR strength then see what we can do with that...

This EURAUD is pushing on nicely so I'm gonna make the assumption that I've caught the London breakout trade and trade it accordingly, will be bloody annoying if it all comes back at me but there you go you have to make a decidion sometime to hold... Of course theres a big hrly level just above me here so not expecting a smooth ride until we clear 1.4750 but its gotta be broken sometime if GBPAUD is going higher so why not today???

1 min chart looks good to go and so does our beloved Harenko so lets see how it plays out... 2 losers so far 20 pips down so this better work...

Trail your stops on every higher low clive

Oh dear all the way up and all the way back down again...So today I've been up in 3 really good trades about 60 odd pips in reality if I'd been banking my runs I'd of possibly banked 50 pips but instead I'm sitting here licking my wounds holding a 20 pip loss for the session...

Makes you kinda think doesn't it??

And here's what I'm thinking, these session runners that I'm hunting are very easy to spot with hindsight but incredibly difficult to catch going forward...so many times pairs setup as if they're going to run then fizzle out. Plus when you think about it its generally only one or two pairs that actually run in a session out of 28 so it is gonna be difficult to catch em even with our TTindy to help us... The Probability is you won't...Now trading is all about highest probability so I'm wandering is it time to put to bed the searching for the London Breakout trade and just trade the ABCD moves in the strong trenders??? Just exit at D whenever price falters at a level ..

If it is the London breakout well then it will give you several good setups in the session to make your profits and if its not, as is most likely, then at least you've banked some profit...

I'm also thinking to trade with high leverage something like 1% per pip and then its easy to take your money and you don't need many winners for good growth...Just take the AAA+ setups. The strategy then is to get to BE very quickly say 2 or 3 pips within a few minutes get all risk off the table.Then grab your runs as they come...

This is then working with the higher probability that you will catch some good runs on these top trenders and very occasionally like 1 out of 7 you will miss out on a London Breakout because you didn't hold, but you will probably still get 2 or 3 winners out of it anyway...

Just my thoughts how about you Mr V.??? What you thinking...

Edit: Just want to add to that I find I don't bank but hold when I'm looking up at the higher timeframes because I will have some preconceived idea that its going to keep going up on the hrly or 15 min or something and once I've got that thought in my head I quite simply ignore the 1 min price action in my face and take bad hopeful entries...in the generally direction of that higher timeframe...

This looking up at higher timeframes causes me all sorts of problems so for me the other advantage of just grabbing 1 minute momentum runs is its all over and done in 15 or so minutes...

Hear what you're saying Jason but that will probably cost me money in the long run far better to get to BE as soon as I can and it either goes or it doesn't much prefer to get my risk off the table as soon as I can...

Ok this is my last go to catch this 5 min Top trender if this don't go that is it for me and chasing London Breakouts and other such dreams...

On a day like today when its UK and EUR interest rates quite happy to either sit out all together or bank. Inflation, interest rates and NFP are days when happy to bank.
