DislikedHi Clive, Was a nice day wasn't it? On your TTindy what do you consider as a "good number" for a nice trending market.... Hope you understand my questionBTW: have a look also on the eur/hkd chart. Very BIG moves and only a spread about 7-15 pips.
Ignored
Yep it was a good day but I find we have quite a few "good days" here as we are only trading strong trending pairs. Thats the essence of this strategy only trade strong trending pairs.... I know I say it a lot here but honestly guys thats all its really about. Get yourself a pair thats either driving straight up or falling off the page and its a doddle to trade and lets face it, on one minute charts theres a pair doing that at one time or another every day...
We even know approximately when they are going to happen, around market opens when the money comes to the table...
Anyway I digress from your question sir. I would say anything over 20 is tradable but of course in line with my abswer above the stronger the better so over 30plus is good really good. But heres the bottom line with the TTindy , trade from the top 3 if you can because it means of the 28 pairs it monitors its saying "These are the boys that are moving"... Don't waste your time else where..
Lastly on the question of pairs like eurhkd I think its fair to say that spreads a bit too strong for me even if its a big mover thats a lot to catch up as Devontrader says. I tend to stick to the 28 pairs we have thats enough choice for me and the worst spread is about 3 with many below 1 pip. I will say its best to trade the biggest movers with an eye to the spread as well. However I don't pick a pair because its got low spread because low spread or not if its not moving it ain't any good no matter how low its spread is.
very lastly on that issue of spread I know a lot of guys trade eurusd and gbpusd because the spread is low but the pairs that I trade , the strong trenders, are going 20,30 even 100 pips sometimes and if we start developing this hold half bank half phlosophy we could be quids in like my big day when I got 678 pips from one pair in a day...
So I'm just gonna finish off this low spread issue very simply, yep if its a strong trender I'll trade it almost regardless of its spread but if it ain't trending I ain't trading it, full stop....
Feel the Fear and do it anyway!!!
