Use the metatrader mini terminal, its much better, if the dont like it try ctrader. The mini terminal was crap anyway. Metatrader stuff is much better and faster (less latency)

are you kidding me?

metratrader mini terminal dont have pre SL and TP option and ctrader is not reliable.

Unfortunately, Mini Terminal is not supported by the developers of the Mini Terminal any more.

Alternatively you can use Ctrader.

How exactly is cTrader not reliable? I personally find it the most reliable platform there is. Any examples?

You are right Ctrader is a cutting edge trading platform with some advantages but some how traders feel comfortable with MT4 stuff.

Hi ahmerkhan.

I have used both, extensively, as a trader. Started with mt4 then switched to ctrader and I still wonder why I wasted so much time with mt4 in the first place. I've even downloaded mt5 in the hopes of getting a better more streamlined version, and gave it a try. It's even worse than the previous one. Clunky, still looks like it's windows 95 all over again and still minimal transparency on my positions and orders. I really like to get all the info when I trade I don't know if you can relate. It helps me manage my trading to the best of my abilities. I'm sticking with ctrader, let others waste their time on whatever they want. It appears some people will prefer the stone age no matter what

looks like IC market has some special contract with ctrader now and they are trying hard to promote ctrader by every possible way.

if they are too much against MT4 why are they even providing it?

There is no need to find negative judgement against IC Markets whether they promote Ctrader over MT4 or not. Technology wise Ctrader is far more superior but MT4 has more Indicators, EAs, Trading Systems available. Transition from MT4 to Ctrader has some learning curve which stops traders to test that platform. Its just like switching from Windows to Linux.

If you are trading the right way then you can make money on any platform.

It's funny how people are so quick to label somebody's personal opinion as paid promotion because they don't agree with it. I've seen this sort of behavior in other forums too.

The guy is a scalper and needs the mt4 price. Ctrader charges a higher commission and its calculated on the base currency and so trading EUR/USD is not so cheap anymore. A scalper needs the best price and needs to have single click fast execution with pre set stop and TP.

Ctrader spread starts from -0.3 pips and it is cheaper after getting discount from IB. I don't have any objection if someone want to use MT4 its his personal choice, Even i also trade on MT4. Mini Terminal is not supported by the developers of the Mini Terminal any more. I have talked to IC Markets to provide a customized module of 1 click trader with all the required features. I hope we will reach to a conclusion very soon.

Sorry, but this is Bulls**t. cTrader is behind MT4 in many ways and Development is slow. Ever tried to handle graphical objects with cTrader? No? It's because they don't have this API. Have seen their crosshair? - rounded pips only - welcome to the 4 digit broker world. Ever tried to do a pending order with a bot? - only rounded pips for TP and SL - welcome to the 4 digits again. Want to place an exact entry and exit point in cTrader? - Sorry maybe in the future, please calculate pips. This list could go on and on.

It's not like switching from Windows to Linux, it's more like switching from Windows to apple! Compared to MT4 cTrader has a more beautifull GUI but are only allowed to choose few colors for bars etc. Switching to Linux is more like: Here are all the APIs you need, now code the living hell. Want to modify looks - sure go ahead. cTrader is very restrictive in many ways. I bet if they want they could make it the best platform within 1 month. Will it ever happen? Well, they might implement things in the future as they like to say.

You have to be kidding me, the ctrader API is far superior. It even has DLL objects that you can use to import data into excal and other applications. The DLLs allow you to export your postions in real time as well as you history and many other things. MT4 is a joke !!

Could you please tell which broker has better spreads on average; Lmax, Axitrader or IC markets?
Also , is cTrader better than mt4 and are the spreads cheaper for scalpers to trade? Thanks

and they say they are looking for solution but there is no certainty and there is no time limit.

IC Markets has better spread amount all of them. You can verify it for your self trading on a demo account. Both Ctrader and MT4 are equally cheap and good for scalping, its just a personal preference. You can also get real time commission discount from our IB website
