what do you mean with 10% equity... ??

is that all is left to trade with ? becasue of the open positions ... if so .. colse every negative position ASAP

it depends on the size of the account .. i mean if 10 % means 10 dollars left.. then pretty much no.. if it means you still got 100K left .. then yes sure its possible to repair the account..

i hope you allready have closed your long trades by now ?

... i guess u should elobarate a lil more...

Holy shit ... do you actually know what you are doing !?!

whats your trading plan ? expirience.. ??? etc..

Stop what you do.. right now ... as hard as it may seems.. but say goodby to your huge losses! close the damn trades!!!

cheez... there can only be some repairing done if you have left some balance in your account...!!!

are you a swing / position trader ?? ...

i highly suggest that you take the damn loss! you never know where EU might head .. we may never see 3600 again ... or we will see 3600 in the next few months again..
but that is all just guess work !! and you arent in the position to guess right now... u need to act!

i would really like to help you but the actual situation is pretty worse.. and i guess few would touch that hot potato ..

huge sums involved .. is that money needed in the next few month / weeks ? .... i mean how much time you have on your hands ,would pretty much help to know and judge how long it may take to repair that account... approx?

as this has to be done slowly ....

as of now there is not much one can do.. but watch and thats a bad situation...

u can either

1. cut your losses ASAP and work your way slowly up again ie. grinding with what is left (be active)
2. HOPE << and pray your losses wont get bigger (inactive / passive)

the later is the worst you can do... be active ... reevaulate your tradingplan and look whats left if u closed all losing positions and start from there...

..

Close all your open positions. The 93k left is still a very big amount for us. Definitely can recover your loss, but need time and patience. Best of luck pal.

Here is my screenshot on my analysis on the monthly chart.... Basicaly you surviving this drawdown will depend on your equity

i think its still gona go up but it will go down before it goes up, you need mire equity to survive the decline, about $300k more just to be safe, but this is just gues work, if i was in your shoes this is what i would do...... Bare in mind that the advice im giving you is the worst advice ever, but i would do it..

I would load $300k extra in my trading acount, dont place any more trades but i would place sl and tp and calculate to exit this whole mess at an overall loss of 15% or 20%, once i have placed the sl and tp and calculated everything i would close my computer for 5months and pray that all works the way i think.. I would ocupy myself with something to do so i dont think of this huge mess..

But everyone finds themselfs in this mess from time to time, the only different is the size of it..

Damn this is by far the biggest, i have seen it all.

I agree that you should close positions if you have no plan but I wouldn't just hit the panic button now.

Since your big losses are in EU & you have most of those positions hedged, start removing positions tactically. So on any rally in EU start scaling out of your long positions. On any fall in EU, start scaling out of your short positions.

You can start making a grid of "SELL" & "BUY" orders. Above the current price start placing pending sell orders every 30 pips. Below the current price start placing buy orders every 30 pips.

Good luck.

Yes, it is possible. But it will require some painful measures. You will definitely have to close out some of your EU long to free up your margins. I am not sure what is the maintenance margin for your account but it looks pretty dangerous. I agree with srt, you should unwind your positions slowly. try to short more EU on rally and take profits on these positions to increase your equity. Clear out your longs in phases on rally. It will be a slow and long process, but you can get back into the game.

Good luck and I really hope you can recover your losses.

I think so, it is really improbable that somebody with 900k lose 90% of the account in that way, this is "normal" for small traders, but anybody trading big money would never ever allow that to happen, so..

Just time wasting

I agree with this totally and this is what I plan to do from here - I was thinking that if I wait for a bit of a down maybe by next week and close some positions of the buy starting from the top with the profits made from hedging I will reduce the pip exposure and can leave positions in possible rallies unhedged for longer periods of time

Thank you

Is it a real account? If yes then it will take a lot of time to recover the losses but it can be done. May take a few months to a few years.
Lucky for you that it is a swap free account.
