Price Action - Right To Left Or Left To Right?

Hi,

Do professionals read price action from right (most recent price action to left) the japanese read their books right to left dont they?

Look left to trade right.

For both ways something can be said.

Left = Context
Right = Sentiment trigger

Right describes short term sentiment which, in my opinion, always comes first no matter what. When this short term sentiment is well identified we place it in certain context which can be found to the left. Short term sentiment needs to be identified before any trade will take place.

Another disadvantage the other way around ( so from left to right ) is a possible false bias. I am a firm believer of trading unbiased/without any expectations, especially as a scalper. A strong bias can cause one to stick to losing trades on hopes price will turn in favor of their bias.

In short
left -> right : bias(left) screams down while short term sentiment(right) screams up
right -> left : short term sentiment(right) screams up while previous PA(left) puts it in a context and is saying your setup might just work

Therefore I would go from right to left.

This might be a perception thing, because I really don't think there is anything on the right side-until you make a trade it's all to the left.

Let´s say all traders are looking to the left and are taking positions based on what is being shown on the left. Decisions made by these traders are now being reflected in short term price action. This short term price action will either show strength or weakness based on their biases.

Why wouldn´t we wait for such situation to occur, see who has the upperhand, and then trade based on this most recent information?
Let others do the work for you, its reflected in price anyway.
