Difficult as usual to know whether to hold or grab my orphan especially on EURNZD as can be a bit choppy to say the least.. However NZD strength across the 5 min TTindy so is it worth holding today??? ?? Nice break of BRN 1.5900 so hopefully that will hold price down ....should I load here???

Morning Clive - if you're gonna trade combo of M1 and renko I'm sure I've got and indi in the archives which lets you have renko running in a sub window underneath. I'll try and find it later.

That sounds cool ... This holding on Renko could be interesting, of course the problem is EURNZD can move 20+ pips in a minute candle , lets see how it goes, gonna watch out for troublesome levels..

Getting some really good drives down here so loathe to close it with such strength being shown and theres a serious level down at 1.5850 so might target that...

But one things for sure with EURNZD we're in for a bumpy ride..

Quick update didn't do too well with the first move down after being up about 35 pips it eventually came back and took me out at BE. Should of closed out soon as my first green candle on renko got taken out for about 25 pips. To add insult to injury foolishly tried to add and lost 10 pips trying... Thats about as sad as it gets a winner turns into a loser.

I find this with trading soon as I start to target a level or think I know where its going I lose out. Best to just trade the price action in front of your nose and be done with it....just accept the results..

However was an obvious reversal so bought next pullback and lesson learnt soon as I had a red candle closed it for about 30ish pips...so positive for the morning up 21.7 pips but could of been so much better, all part of the learning curve..

I think the thing is to close out soon as you get a reverse coloured candle taken out, trail stops down above/below first counter trend candle.

Had a very quick trade here on top trender EURAUD waited for it to come back closer to lwma and bought off of the 1.4650 level, quick 14.1 pips as faltered at last high but maybe I should of held as pushing higher now but there you go about 35 pips up for the morning about 7% so not too bad... but could of been so much better...

I'm getting there...

Its a difficult old game for sure this forex trading, just had a EURNZD trade, I tried to hold, go 35 pips up and come back to take me out at BE so then I get in to GBPAUD another top trender and decide to take 14 pips when another 25 on the table, very tricky old game....

I'm seriously thinking about becoming an out and out scalper... Gets very tiring keep taking good entries and watching them come out at BE, then add a couple of losers along the line and all of a sudden you're looking at a down day...

The times I get up 5 to 10 pips up in a day I lose count of.. the trouble is I have bigger plans in my head always looking for that big winner but of course the trouble is they are quite elusive.. Easy to spot afterwards but the devils own child to catch before...

Oh well having a go at GBPJPY this time. Top trender so bought off of the daily pivot lets see what we get here...

Looks like I've jumped on the wrong bloody horse again.. should of gone for GBPCHF number uno in the TTindy...


My old Nag the GBPJPY seems to be struggling a bit, call it a Dragon??? More like an old Donkey if you ask me???

Feeedback for all users......this system as clive says is so straight forward and simple.
its either up or down and having an edge puts you one step up in the market.

Reading clive what you say about stopping out at BE and scalping etc.....try increasing your bar size up to say 5 or 10

An observation for you. In regards to the two charts you posted this morning with M1 and Renko, The M1 entered you sooner. When you showed the Renko on those entries, the color change candle happened later and would have cost you around 3 pips or so it looks like.

think so, I think the best is these pairs with great ATR, +10 leave in half, the other half putting it to BE and exit when the trend turns. I'm looking for an EA to manage the dual output to apply so ...

Hi Clive,

just want to share my opinion about take profit, there is no perfect solution that fits all market condition, or i still can't find it yet haha..

when i am creating my system, i backtest few ways of exit such as : ma cross, stoch turn, rsi turn, your cci turn, ma colors turn, fix pips tp, etc..

unfortunately no one of them is the best, sometimes one way work better than others,
like fix pips working nice in ranging market, we can grab some pips, but in strong trend market, we'll miss a lot of pips,
ma cross sometimes very rewarding in strong trending market, but in ranging market, we could lose opportunity to collect little orphan, maybe just BE or even lose..
and so as other method, each have their best working market condition..

i think you are doing very good already with your current trading.. can't win them all, maybe we must accept that this is the nature of this market..

Good idea I'll have a word with my man Ted see if he's up to it, mind you he wrote a book just for me on how to code EA's , maybe I'll get round to reading it and make that my first project...
