Proceeding nicely just needs to push past this weekly pivot...

Like the look of this going higher up to 61.8 retracement once past this weekly pivot should move quickly to my TP but just in case I'm locking some profit in as I go up below each major support level, maybe behind 100lwma once its caught up a bit...

Did you take this on these charts or the Renko charts? I tried the renko, but think I prefer straight candles. I might look at them one more time.

Also, watch that 50% level. It is a strong Fib level.

Nice strong AB move so safely added on this pullback to S3 , want to see this push on now... or might have to take profit now...

At least one failed drive so trailed stop up on first trade and second knocked off at BE now if it fails again I'm out....

We are definitely at that time of week. You will see most of these charts go to thinner and thinner tails now. There may be a bit of push on a couple of them, but my rule is no trades after Noon EST on Friday.

Nope its losing its strength with 3 failed drives so its out for me with 51 pips...

Of course it could be just a bit of consolidation and then fly up the page but thats ok with me gotta have a closing point somewhere...

Yep couldn't agree more but we do quite often see a surge around London close and those "Good Old London Boys" do like an early finish on a Friday, had a hard week you know, bless em....

Getting back into my stride again now been having some great skype chats with Mr V. and we're sort of veering towards identifying quality entry points for low risk on the 1 min with a view for holding a bit more with an eye on the slightly higher timeframe picture. Don't get me wrong still being driven by the 1 minute opportunities but just trying to identify when to hold a bit longer... Will still be grabbing orphans , probably whenever it falters at B, but if it flys past B then have a look whats going on above us....

Should of got a bucketful off of that EUR weakness this morning 200 plus pip moves!!! But I gotta work sometime...

As for the Renko charts, yep I like em and I'm thinking identify signals from them and then time the entry on my beloved 1 minute...Maybe hold on Renko too???

Looks like I just about timed my exit ok on that last GBPAUD trade, thats always nice to see....

This is what I do. I switch from the M5 and M15 to the M1. You are getting a lot more pips in your bucket however. I will be right there however!

Yep thats similar to me but I start on the 1 minute and work my way up...Now I know thats about the reverse of every other trader you're talk to, that start on the higher timeframes and come down. Even then they won't come down to the 1 min, most stop at 5 min at best... but didn't I hear somewhere that 95% of us retail traders are losers????

Hmmmm, 95% of us are losers?? Makes you think doesn't it???

Maybe we're doing something fundamentally wrong starting on those higher timeframes and coming down, maybe, just maybe we should be doing it the other way round??? Thats why I prefer to take the 1 minute entries get them to BE, get all my risk off the table, then look around to see what I've caught on the higher timeframe.... That way I can decide whether I'm better off holding or just grabbing what I can...

You see my theory on trading Forex is quite simple, its all about the money... One countries money against another countries money.... The banks money against the retailers money... The BIG money running straight over the small money(us) .. and its the money coming to the table and leaving the table that moves that price , up , down and all around so how should us small time guys that can't possibly move the market trade????

Simple follow that Goddam money!!! And the money in my humble opinion is what the 1 minute charts are showing us , they show us where the money is going either into or out of a currency.... GBP weakness in the morning look to sell a GBP pair, EUR weakness in the morning sell a EUR pair.

Thats where the TTindy comes in, it clearly shows us which pair is moving stronger than the others so thats gotta be where the monies going...so wait for a nice strong AB move then jump on board with the first pullback. Its not rocket science is it?? Stop fighting the banks you've got zero to no chance of beating em, so we've got to jump on board with them... And who's the biggest bank of all?? Our dear friends from Japan thats who,whenever you see a JPY pair moving up to weaken the JPY you can bet the BOJ is buying the nuts off of it.... Don't fight em join em...

If you want any more evidence then just look what happened this morning when ECB President Draghi was speaking. God knows what he said and to be honest who cares??? All I know is EUR fell off the floor... EUR 1 minute charts just plummetted with some of the easiest down trending charts you're ever be presented with to trade.. Text book trends.. The money was leaving EUR in its droves...

We have made great progress with the skype chats, all the time edging closer to what we want method to be. Well the method, thats clear, but rather the idea of how are we going to trade it/apply to which pair.

Being perfectly honest I find myself regularly challenging a few of the things I hold dear. Not all because they are basics that cannot change but some. So as I have been in that position I suspect one of the things lurkers and outright anti 1 minute chart traders are forgetting (and again I often have to remind myself to adapt some of those larger TF habits) is that the TT indi IS sifting out a lot of the rubbish and showing the immediate trend, the pairs that ARE moving. So the absolute basic idea of trade whats running (according to system rules) gets forgotten in the 1 minute charts are noise debate.

Couple the TT indi with some supporting info from other pairs and I think we are getting very, very close.

If we divert off to renko bars that doesn't change the method per se but merely the visuals, can the trades be seen more easily seen??

Agreed, although I was going to suggest extending the TT indi to include some higher time frames as well - you can never have too much confirmation. For 2-3 pip scalps it may not be important but for longer term holds it might be. Just an idea.

No we're about the last 2 trades I took where I got 109 pips followed by a nice little 51 pip trade....Now thats what we call trading

Now I say "we" because I've been chatting to Mr V. on a regular basis in an attempt to combine his longer term view of the market, plus years of experience on market opens etc with my own strategy on the 1 minute charts... The combination of the two seems to be working out very well at the mo...

Bottom line is to enter quickly with small risk get the risk off the table asap then hold for as much as possible. The thing is we have to just enter whatever pair sets up in the London Open and starts moving. London Open is where most moves start from... Trouble is if you look at higher timeframes for trade ideas then drop down you are looking to force an entry on a pair thats not moving so risky. far better to get onto a pair thats moving then look up and see whats happening on higher timeframes...

Early days but who knows where it could lead us???

Sorry but Mr V's a very private man, he'll share his thoughts freely as he has done on his own thread for the last 6 years. But he gets inundated with traders trying to contact him...on a daily basis...to such an extent its impacted on his private life....

It took me 3 months of constant posting ,texting and PMs before he responded with a skype call..

I'll ask him for you but I think we have to respect his privacy don't you???

But don't worry I'll relate all his advice etc here and he will post here too so you won't miss out in any way...

Clive - what's good about that is it opens up potential for pairs with high spreads. A 6 point spread is somewhat irrelevant if you take 109 or 51.

Further to what Clive said on the skype group, to do this effectively you must:

- have your system absolutely nailed down (in writing), there should be close to zero if's or but's on a set up or trade. Clive and I still have a little work to do on choosing the best pair (hopefully to jump on and what to do if thats the wrong horse) but we are very close. System itself is a winner.
- have some form of moderator involvement to keep the whole thing focused and realise that the person doing that must still be able to trade effectively, realising time is important off a 1 min chart.
- avoid some of the distractions that happen when people not so clued up on the method jump on board and you're still trying to help them to the best of your ability. One or two people asking questions is one thing, 20 or 30 is another thing.
- avoid the inevitable trade calls from people that have nothing whatsoever to do with the method and what we are trying to achieve but they cannot help themselves to let the group know what they have done.

Clive and I have been working brilliantly together so far and I'd like at least to see that process finalised before the next step is considered. In the next week or so in any event I am moving house and that is a time consuming process. Then very shortly the quieter Dec hols are coming.

So for now I don't think so on a skype group but going forward never say never, but it will only be done once Clive and I are comfortable we can handle it whilst maintaining trading standards. If we go this route in time I'd want to do it only when its something special, in both group standards but most importantly in proven trade returns.

Yes I am in awe of those that can manage a large skype group and trade successfully.
