Well, personally I can definitely see 3 longs for the AU

As in, it will be a LONG, Long, long time before we see an Up trend in this pair, RBA signalled it’s preference well over 2yrs ago and has subtly been working to see it happens,
Asking the question, how can currencies dive on good news and rocket on bad will give you the answer to how long term trends are set.
Manipulation by the the big boys, and I’m not talking fundies, brokers, and market players but the guys who wright the rules of the game.
Think of it as one player handing over the batton to another as part of team sport the majors against the rest

IMO RBA will keep adding to the pressure and will hold off on rates until late in 2015 and when they increase it will be extremely slow and measured keeping these two range bound .76 to .84 at best for years & years

The only reason AU has been playing at these heights for the last few years was due to the so called GFC .... now that is fading into memory so too is the currency, fading back to it’s natural place within the world of happy little currencies with smiles all-round and restoring universal balance an harmony.....

there is nothing wrong with targeting .90 it is only 350 pips away. trends change, they always have and will. the most important thing is can you change your mind when trend changes?

Pg 4 - "The very accommodative monetary policy settings will continue to provide support to demand and help growth to strengthen, in time. ... On present
indications, the most prudent course is likely to be a period of stability in interest rates."

I guess this means AUD won't be tanking tonight ?

Read about the currency....

Above real value, and USD strength will help bring it down (as well as accommodative policies)

Overall downtrend (at least they wish) with a larger horizon (2016)

Obviously trend within trend within trend as you move from higher tf to lower tf, so I'd trade according to the price action, not fundamentals on shorter than D/W tfs

RBA - Unemployment is a concern as well ...

Which ones below have they broken so far?

 

  1. the stability of the currency of Australia;
  2. the maintenance of full employment in Australia; and
  3. the economic prosperity and welfare of the people of Australia

Russian girl just watch and learn when it reaches .90. In my past 10 years of trading forex I have seen very strange things. 350 to 500 pips drop is nothing.
