This might seem a bit off topic, but does anyone trade volatile pairs (like the Geppy) on Fridays/Mondays? I'm just curious, considering the unconventional nature of chart movements during the beginning and end of trading weeks. If so, how do you manage it?

I'd like to be able to add those two days to my trading hours for this pair, but the Geppy tends to be mercurial at best and at worst an absolute bitch.

There are a lot of different approaches to trading, and I respect anyone's comments as it relates to trading.

As I mentioned, I continue to learn. I don't think I'll ever stop learning. And since my "private non-GBPJPY" actions have been brought up on this forum, I'll simply say this.

I have have NOT stopped trading for a single day since I started. If the market is open, I trade. I unsubscribed to all my subscriptions as I was tired of getting all the emails every day whenever someone did something on FF.

Of course, I realized I could control the emails in settings, so I made the adjustment, and now am back to connecting with other members.

I am a daytrader. I live an die on the M15 chart. I will trade off of H1 and H4 sometimes. I also look at higher time frames to get context. But I like to enter trades an know right away if I'm right or wrong. I also like high R:R ratios, which I believe are more attainable on the lower time frames.

Anyway, in case anyone cares. Happy trading

Well as I mentioned, I trade any day and every day. If the price moves, I look for opportunities.

The only thing to be careful about on Friday in my opinion is you could get stuck in a trade, and be forced to take a loss, or risk the weekend, and potential opening gap.

So, if I trade on Friday, i have a cut off time where I won't enter trades, unless I decide I'm comfortable holding over the weekend...

You should not have ignored me, Benaiah, because in your last post, there is not a single word that I disagree with... I am very much like you, whether or not you know it, realize it, and/or accept it.

I respect you, and I respect your decisions. However, may I let you know that, I am an agressive daytrader too -- like you -- and so I think it is in BOTH of our interests to learn from each other. I know for a fact that I already have a highly profitable system, but if anyone is going to crack it, it will probably be someone like you...

15 minute TF looks like it is bearish, HOWEVER, that does not consider the trend, which, is still BULLISH on TFs higher than Daily.

5M and 15M signal a retracement, however, the 30m trend is so strong that I do not expect it to retrace at all... and if I am wrong, then it should only retrace very little...

WORD OF ADVICE: To anyone reading this, the BEST thing you can do for your trading would probably, in my honest opinion, be to add the ADX indicator to your trading setup... and research the Nihilist thread(s)...
