Gaps all over the place. US$ strong out of the gate. Will all the gaps get filled? I am leaning toward a yes answer. Remember traders here in the UK are on holiday so trading volumes will be lighter and moves could be exaggerated.

EurUsd - breakaway gap or abandoned baby? Tomorrow will tell

Right out of the gate today the US$ gave a smackdown to all the other major currencies. However as the day progressed it appears all the gaps except the eurusd have been filled. This leaves us thinking is this a real breakaway gap (which usuall signifies the midway of the downmove) of is this gap a low volume run in price because UK was on holiday.
I have been tracking an EW 5 move down in this pair as shown in red lines on the chart (5th wave hasnt completed yet. Normally a 3 wave retracement should follow towards 3400. Either way the trend is still down and so if we get a retracement I will use it as a better selling entry. Likewise if the gap doesnt fill then the true bearishness of the eur is now even clearer

Price popped out into open space and reversed. We might have a false breakout on out hands. Ultimately I am bullish this pair and will be going long after the new latest high is cleared

Cocoa

Yesterday's price action was good for traders (who missed the upmove) waiting for a top in this market. While the top is not confirmed the price rejection/selling pressure must not go unnoticed.

when you say break of red line, do you mean close below after candle closes?

Hi Texy123

How are you. Long time no see (read ). Yes I want to see a solid close below the red line not just a dip below it. Cocoa is bit of an animal so I want to see some commitment to the downside if I am selling
