May see a mild correction from this psych level, so I took a measured risk short just north of 2.0000. The level doesn't otherwise appear to have any particular S/R significance that I can see ... . There is a better set of Fib confluence levels around 2.080-2.100 or so ... .

Well, I only like it short (because of swap/rollover). So I look for it to hit certain levels that I think are good for short set ups. I was frankly waiting for something north of this, but -- as you can see -- the pair can burn through a large number of pips in a day (right now the daily ATR is around 120, but it's been as high as 250, which is ridiculous). Not for the faint of heart ... .

Thanks for pointing out the ATR, thats big lately. Not for faint of heart, I hear you .. thats why my positions here will be small, but like the idea of building one up, and don't mind the positive swap for a change. What rate are you getting for swap from your broker? Thanks, M

Hi TK, not sure if this was for me, but thanks anyway, appreciate your message. I've not much time on this pair.
I see the high volatility, and trade accordingly. My positions are relatively small here to test the waters on this babe.
I bagged 65 pips last night on the move down, and closed out. Might jump back on a short, but awaiting retrace.. not sure if this 2.003 double top (my Daily chart) will cap it.. 4H pretty bullish..we'll wait and see..
Oh yes, I don't trade with 10 pip stops..
Good luck to you too!
M

Following up on the GBPNZD this week, we see price faded from its 2.000 top and last week ended below 1.9900 also previous high in June. Technically speaking, the bear would continue this week. However, we are abit news heavy on the GBP side, so anything could happen due to the fact GBPNZD has very high volatility.

GBPNZD is starting to look like it’s move upwards is set to continue with a series of higher highs and higher lows, last week we saw price break through to key level of 2000 and has now pulled back to in to the moving average buy zone. Today’s candle is a small reversal inside bar showing that buyers are potentially coming back in to the market. There is a potential 2:1 trade to be taken before we get to the previous high, beyond that the next key level of resistance is up around the 2.025 level.

Another GBP/NZD trade set up, I shorted @ 1.9905, it took 6 days to develop but it paid off today with 155 pips, considering that I was flying and didn't monitored the position, it did an amazing job, it did what expected to do, price tested previous resistance @ 1.9950 and tanked back to previous support, I had a pending sell limit order @ 1.9993, that's 78.6% ret level, but it didn't take me in, but that's ok. I took 50% of the movement and that's fantastic.

I strong believe that you have to trade what you see and what you believe it works best for you, so trade accordingly and let's find another set up.

Happy pips everyone.

Hello GBP/NZ

With NZ taking a we dump

managed to score some pips, longs etc

I see the charts pointing down to 1.93

My main play is shorting

But it moves so much you have to be weary of NZ

falling below 0.84.

If the Beast is unleashed it will be fun in games

With wild price movements in the past week, this pair requires update on wave counts, that favor even more downside potential. The sharp price movement looks more like a 3rd wave down of the C wave. Therefore I revised my 1st target as 1.9320.

If price stay under 1.9835 with further downside movement, it looks trending down on this (C) wave of correction that started February this year.
