Flat AU. Daily chart is in the middle of the range and jobs numbers tonight and policy statement tomorrow night could move it either way.

These moves were anything but a fat finger.
Otherwise, Euro and Aussie wouldn't be holding the quant.

I don't get it. It's almost like they are doing everything in their power lately to crush the little guy.
I wonder why.
Who are they going to sucker in when there's no one else around?

No offense or snark intended, but from experience, "they're out to get you" thinking has gotten me nowhere. The beast is what it is ... it's a question of learning to ride it, or not. Forex moves can come out of nowhere, so manage positions and leverage for long term survival.

The little guy is always going to get crushed. The average human brain was not wired "properly" for trading.

Plus the markets as a whole are basically designed to destroy the majority

Gotta figure out what the majority is doing and find out ways to profit while they get slaughtered… basically what it comes down to.

i will tell you the answer: about half of the majority is long and the other half is short. i will guarantee you that your success is absolutely irrelevant to what others are doing, unless you know HOW and WHEN they are doing it.

Yes, 57% are short…. and I agree. That's why it must be monitored.

70-80% were short euro the whole way up to 1.4 then it dropped a bit from there and the majority started getting more and more bullish as it fell. Same pattern repeats itself every time.

Same thing happened with crude oil the past month or so.. now over 70% are long crude and it's not going up anymore. 80% were short was it rallied to 105+….

i understand where you are coming from: the wisdom of majority; which in forex, per common believe works in opposite. unfortunately we do not have the exact number of traders who are long or short. what some brokers offer is just a drop in the ocean. there are many reasons why majority lose and choosing the wrong direction or being at the wrong side of the trade is definitely not one of most important factors.

Oh.... I just developed a new MTF dashboard and I was wondering why Aussie was weakening across the board.... but I just checked the FF calendar and noticed it was because of "news/fundamentals".

Too bad I didn't catch this trade earlier or I would have traded it!

I guess I am long EUR/NZD now to try to make up for it... ROFL
