Will be possibly looking to enter long around the 9297 mark, otherwise a break of .9320.

Tomorrow becomes an important day for the AUD as trade balance and RBA meeting can fuel the pair which has reversed from the support level. Moreover, a close above 0.9335 can provide additional strength to the buyers. However, 0.9370 is an important resistance.

It will be interesting to see if Stevens whines about the exchange rate again. The July 2014 jawboning had less impact than last December's attempt. The market could well be getting less sensitive to him complaining about how it is not carrying his water for him, as it becomes clearer that he does not have a rate cut in his back pocket. He already said "rates low for as far out as we can see" in July, and we have only slightly drifted lower since then, while the Shanghai has had a very strong July.

I'm guessing down, but will trade after the trade balance for a short period and then after the rate statement for a short period. HSBC could have an impact as well, so might be a tradable event. I'm aiming for 20 pips on the AUD news events, give or take a few pips. I generally just trade the news for very short periods of time.

Yah I think last 2-3 speeches have been neutral (one about nothing at all). PA sitting on my daily/weekly TL, this could be the push that could start the move down.

Agree. I believe RBA will again talk down the currency. They will want a lower currency to beef up export and create more jobs.
The true fact is market doesn't care, risk mgt is important.

A shocker? What could Stevens do at this point that would really whack the AUD/USD? He's not going to cut. The market already knows he doesn't like the AUD/USD where it is. He has already essentially said "we are not hiking for a good long while over the horizon" ... so what is going to shock the market at this point? He has said he doesn't like the level, and the market has said "your preference is not the market's problem, Mr. Stevens".

Oh, and the market also knows that the Fed is not going to be helping Mr. Stevens out with a hike anytime soon, either.
