Hi Forexday...no that is the 50 simple ma.

Here is an update on the trade...I am going to study these indicators closely. I best case scenario, for me, would be a fairly shallow retrace and for the indi to signal long entries again, then I will look to add to the position...or it could just crash !!

I have worked with the traditional ADX quite a bit so I feel fairly comfortable with these indicators....pretty cool Nihilist.

Bryn,
What is your setup you're using on the chart? ADX and HG or UltraTrend V2?

Hey MKFXTrader...did not load a template, Just nihilist_ADX, nihilist - UTF - 1, and nihilist - UTF - 2 (noted on chart ). Gotta study the thread some more but this seemed to make sense. With just a quick visual test...look at these nice entries on UJ H4.

entries at little pink line segments...longs and shorts.

Cheers

Are you using all the adx settings, because I don't see the matrix. I personally like the use of the Ultratrend v2 with UTF 1&2.

Collective answer questions about PA

First of all, thank you Nihilist for another fantastic thread on FF. You are make good job. TX again.

Sorry for my English as U @ll knows it's not my nativ. lang. I apologize for not very good grammar.

I got a lot of questions on PM and forum about PA. I will try to briefly answer all.

Q:Experience
My experience with the PA can not be large, just learning a few years already and all the time I develop this skill. It is not a difficult task, it requires above all experience. Learning the basics of a few days, but the appropriate level are achieved after several years of working with charts (sorry but that's the brutal truth).

Q:How to start?
It should start from scratch. Different courses will find on the web, in my opinion all knowledge is in this forum. Be sure to read these threads:

James16 Charts Thread, over 6500pages
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=2331

redsword11 - price is everything (must read)
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=230888

Supply and demand in a nutshell by Alfonso Moreno(fantastic thread about S/D)
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=428204

The PRICE (fxgroup)
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=297592
and thread cont. below

Beyond the Candles (fxgroup) - IMHO (must read min. 10 times)
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=317593

and necessarily read Steve Nison and his candlecharts (use google )

Special thanks go to the authors of the threads and sharing of knowledge with us.

Q:How to learn?
What is needed is hard work and patience. Do not be discouraged if something does not work. Everything takes time. You have a lot to draw the charts(sr, sd, lt, rm, waves...) and analyze the behavior of prices. Practice makes perfect. It should start with the high-TF (MN and W1, D1 optional). It teaches patience. Trading intraday are very difficult and there is no point if you do not trade the experience you start losing forever. We start always from the designation of critical-level S/R then add S/D and LT. Later, just wait for the price and its reactions in a given place (here useful Candlestick Patterns). This whole magic

Q:Why PA?
What is cool in PA is that with this we agree place to trade, and the price must be in the result and react. I designate the place where I want to enter a trade and not just trade because there is a price. It allows easy to look at a chart, no nerves, just waiting. It's very much like a sniper. 2-3 days of waiting in order to give a precise shot for a few hundred pips. In my opinion, is worth the wait patiently

When you begin to understand the price, it is very easy filtering on different systems. The signals given by indicators often negates the same price. PA is an excellent filter of entry. Understanding PA avoid foolish enter the trade because it showed indicators.

Q: Will U continue?
I'll try to write soon some posts about PA approximating analysis HTF and MTF (multi time frames). Now I have a vacation and rest for the charts, but I follow closely what happens in them.

Good luck @ll in learning PA and wish many green pips!
