If you're talking to me, I dont use ADR. Although I seem to remember I like it for some reason.

I do not think we will see above the stops I have in place, however; I will remove them tomorrow because of the spread I see at high news events. Sometimes 20 pips. Also, I guarantee you there is a LOT of stops there right now, and the brokers will go stop hunting tomorrow.

In my normal trading I wouldnt be carrying these during such high news events- but the trade is just too obvious with too good a RR. My risk to reward right now is roughly 1:11 throughout all my trades. Max loss will be 5%, max profit could be 55%

hi Davit , i noticed that u hav quite a few usd/etc2 open trades , R u closin it comes NFP ?

Nothing is closed
I suggest you go back some pages to read how I trade.

I set aside $$ budget for trade say $400
2.Pip value .50=800pips good distance for multiple entries
3.Add new trades as see fit including adding to red trades
4.Stop loss is your budget
This way gradually getting in and out maximizes profit potential.
Doing it this way it clears away from traditional hard stop and where most traders lose money.
If original position is wrong you can get out with minimum damage since you only entered 1/2 lot.

So far 2014
6months green 6-18% average gain
July my 1st red month
As you can tell towards the end of July recovered substantially.
Overall 45 degree account growth just like a healthy trend
Max DD in 7 months 13%
Profit trades 78%

1st traditional Stop loss is bread and butter for brokers and big sharks.Spikes that often occur before a big move usually creates liquidity by taking out the stops.
This is major topic but in short 20-30pip typical stop will get hit even if you got direction right.How to overcome this.

Well set a budget for each trade could be anything but 2% of account is ideal.
400 for example.If your 1 lot equals 1dollar then 400 dollars will give you 400pip distance.
Lets say you prefer .50 a pip then 400 allows 800pip distance on none leveraged account
Now you got 800 pip distance to place orders as you like as long as 800pip is not hit your stop loss is not hit.
This works better on position and swing trading.In short your budget for particular trade is determined in advance just like regular SL only difference is distance

Davit, without getting into specifics, how many positions do you carry in any single currency. I'm trying to decide some money management details and I would like your opinion.

I do usually 4-6 positions on each pair with .50 lot size so total max I like to stay 3 dollar a pip.
Once I reach 3 dollars a pip I generally don't add more.This is based on US 50/1 leverage

Yes, Davit...I do have your template. But, I still need to define my own style...I am still not sure Limit orders are the way for me. I love em but I hate em...you know what I mean ? Anyway, a lot of it for me now is defining my 'time frame' and the amount of info i am looking at so I can stay focused, sharp, and make solid decisions...I think. Gotta nail my exits! I am either pulling profits too early...or holding them too long and missing the good profits...more the latter these days, where I am focusing on my patience and holding for big wins but several really nice trades have gotten away from me.

Ah yes...contractors. I hope you have worked things out. Seems all industries have turned ' predatory ' these days in our economy.

UPDATE on mY trades

UJ short all green +260pips and counting on 6 positions
AU long all green +30pips on 4 positions and growing
UC shorts -20pips but holding on
U/CHF shorts Break even but getting closer to +pips
