Yesterday I took long on EJ on H1, took around 5 hours to play out, since PA was moving +5 and - 5 to 10 pips, I followed my plan and stayed with the trade, later on I was stopped out, but after all all I have done is followed my trading plan which can saves a lot of trades in the future, that loss puts me one step into being a disciplined trader

would anyone care to explain this early trigger thingy?,, It would obviously be my fault but another perspective on these charts would be really helpful,

early trigger?? I'm not sure if I follow... for me personally, theres two senarios I will take early entry

1) if price stalled at structure and made several attempts to complete the set up but was rejected and gave obvious signs that price didn't want to complete.
2) If theres smaller harmonic evidence with more confluence with in a larger pattern. ex... You got a ABCD pattern but in the CD leg theres 3 X 1 to 1's with structural and ratio confluence tighter just above the ABCD pattern. Its got to be with in an acceptable range tho. then I'll play targets like the ABCD completed

remember, the Kill zone is an area. Try to break it down the best you can. Sometime it just doesnt work out tho and the entry is missed. Thats the way it is. Dont chase price tho. wait... price might give you a second chance on a weaker retest or a pullback (if the pattern is big enough).

I know some would just take every and all patterns they see. Sometimes it works out. price spikes to completion then rejects immediately and then other times it just blows right through. I try this method and it was a disaster. I never loss so much money so fast in my life... not even at the casino. It works for some people tho

Stick to your rules. Wait for price to get best possible entry and never chase it. If you notice something. Back test it, and if it shows positve expextancy then you can modify your rules to incorporate your observations.

I did not take those trades, as price did not reach the D completion point. They obviously turned around, so no harm, but I was curious as to why that happened. In GBPCHF price has structure right ahead at 1.5390 levels, and that was the exhaustion point for the AB leg but reversed just below that.
In EURCHF I was expecting a support resistance reversal with the previous structure. That was too much to ask of the price maybe, but it pulled up before reaching that zone. Price never got to the structure in the first place. I notice this all the time, like a failed abcd, where cd goes like 3/4th(slightly into 127%AB) the way of AB's length and fail. I was unable to assess this harmonically, nevertheless it is not tradeable. Thanks for your input though. I do look for price stalling, retesting and whatever confluence I can find, but sometimes price surprises me by pulling out slightly below or above the PRZ. (mostly in the case of ABCD's completion)

I know what you mean. Sometimes price moves within 1 pip and "POW" price takes off. It really hurts when I get stopped out by spread only to see price reverse.

good job pampaq.

I was eyeing this one up. didn't feel confortable taking tho so I passed. Turns out you reach TP 1 so good on you. Hopefully price co-operates and pushes up to 1.69. I'm looking at a Agg C at that level with a 1 to 1. It will go with the longer term order flow. I'll be watching PA to see.

hey pampaq, for GBPUSD M5

The buy limit is placed at 1.6870, and the SL is at 1.68559 and TP is at around 1.69100?
