I am doing the exact opposite swan! Yeah carry trade is fine if you doing carry trade but trading is trading. Market couldn't give two shits about your RR.

Half the story here is the strengthening USD, I'm not scrubbed up on GBP but I don't think they're looking at the same level of resurgence esp considering ongoing performance issues in mainland europe... I don't doubt there'll be a drop against the GBP of some sort but you'll be relying mainly on weakness of NZD (which to be fair seems to be the picture right now).

Anything can happen, I could find many technical reasons to justify a trade which is mainly why I dont rely solely on tech alone. You cant unless you want mediocre.

Ithink right here is an excellent buying opportunity for GU, still has more room to go on the monetary policy side and more growth compared to NZD. NZD at the end of the scale, already had an interest rate hike that was totally ignored. IF that isnt a sign enough well I dunno what else is. The thing is both of these pairs largely had a IR pricing in however cable has much more potential for closing that gap on NZD. NZD already said it going to pause next round. Whereas GBP is steady trucking away. You also have to look at the market sentiment. Certain level of risk market follows, watch indices, I think we will see big drop anytime now until end of year, like back down to 1800 in SP500. Thats going to be bad for NU and good for GU

Ok so my plan is either take that target or trail with positive stop loss after 27 pips.

The EJ goes up and down but we are definitely looking at a long term trend down. That is not to say you can't do well on buys during the retrace. It does need to be confirmed at a .8400 break. Once it does, it is a definite down trend. You can still do buys but be careful.

40-EMA on H1 near 0.8517 can restrict the pair before the NZDUSD test 0.8530. THE GDP strengthened USD and the pair draws down to 0.8480 with 0.8450 being immediate support.
