my long is too early as cable has a 40 to 50 pip drop left to meet the rising tl on daily, prolly on the gdp news in 4 hours.

so a tp at 173.05 and re-entry at 172.8 is not a bad idea

GJ = GU * UJ simple math, so GJ reacts to what GU or UJ does, so we keep in mind both while trading GJ doing a PHD in GJ charts will not help, just keep your eyes open is all that is needed, i hope i did not offend anyone

just remember a simple marriage rule

when GU and UJ get married / move in same direction GJ gets STRONGER

when both divorce / move opposite GJ is confused / carried away by the stronger pair.

in the event of their divorce it is safer to trade the parents GU UJ

My usual fallback when somebody presses me for an opinion as to how exactly a given pair is going to move is that: "It's going to do (large pause) ... what it's going to do."

So, you're saying that the Ph.D. I got from Geppy U. (Doctoral Thesis: GJ Charting) was a total waste of time?!!

Once the BOE early rate hike was all priced in and the BOJ kept reiterating they would stay the course with no increase in the level of bond purchases the dragon's teeth began to fall out. The fundamentals are simply absent for another impulse to breach that 175.35 high. Now VISA sees no growth as far as all of 2015 even and this is very much a risk-on, good-time cross. After 171.74 there will be a divergence upward and then down because this pair is in a downtrend now. The DOW Jones has breached that key 17,000 level and is down 130 points so far. After earnings season is over it's done and GBP/JPY with it.

My GBP/CHF sell at 153.80 will be a slow grind but I expect 180-200 pips in the weeks to come.
Be humble or be humbled.

Hey men... now early in te week during vacation times, the new high will always go south again for a sovergn wealth fund re-load....,,,then Wednesday and Thursday are what we watch for long moves. We have this 174.xx going right now, how cool is that for stuffing our socks.
Now it's short till 4:00 am New York time....when tou want to be long like a mother bear....especially if it falls till the Tokyo lunch time...!!
If you see a flat line from Tokyo till the London open....Jump it with a buy, big time...

Finally seeing some action on our lil beast today! I've been away from the forums lately because it's just been so dead. Hopefully today is a sign that that's changing.

I'll be out the rest of the week though... going on my bachelor party tomorrow morning

There is no evidence that this is not a reversal. A drop out of 173.6 and 173.2 would suggest reversal. I waited all week for the bullish thrust, which did exceed my expectation - but it may still have been a final move in a bearish pattern. New York times etc aside, only a new high now confirms the bullish scenario.
