Dang, would've been a nice scalp from a retest of 1.974, but had to step away for a bit ... .

Should've scalped it from that level the first time around when I was stopped out at BE. Oh, well. Nothing lost.

Hope everyone had a good bull run last week. This week the levels I will be looking at is 1.9750 and 1.9650.

Rate Hike expected from 3.25% to 3.50% for nzd this week. Added shorts on gbpnzd and eurnzd.

Seems that 1.9650/55 is beeing rejected... maybe..

We're either looking at a potential double top or 2B formation around 97 area... If we break this we'll likely see 9920 area before the end of the month.

RBNZ will probably decide what will happen with this pair...

long so I'm speculating for either 3.25 or the end of rate hikes.

Took a short on the 1.9700 level during AUD CPI release, target 1.9650 for a 50 pips run

I see a bearlish gap on daily us also a double bounce from 1,9700 i'm going short.The double bounce from 1,9700 looks to me like someone was killing stops or whanted to fill some orders.I see us first target 1,9550 on H4.

20 minutes way (2:00 PM) from NZD rate minutes, GBPNZD breaking below 1.9600.

Anybody long in GBP/NZD a few minutes ago? I was short, had some profit and had just moved my stop loss to pretty close to current price. Stop loss didn't execute until 140 pips beyond my stop loss.

200 pips upon 25 basis points rate hike to 3.5%.

Personally I was short and got destroyed. But I think the price paid was well worth the lesson learned. The phrase, "buy the rumor and sell the news" comes to mind. An interest rate hike of 3.5% was expected (rumored) on the NZD and it traded accordingly (GBP/NZD went down). But just think about WHEN news is released; if it turns out to be 3.5%, then nothing really happens because it was priced in already, and if rumor was false and it was lower, then GBP/NZD would have shot up. So either way, i should have probably have taken my profit before news.
