Off course not. Only complete fool would sell it now. RBNZ is most hawkish central bank at this point, and FED most dovish. Employment situation in NZ at all time high, and in US worst since 70's.

Just a matter of time when NZD will become strongest in dollar family.

since i'm short i very much do appreciate your exuberance. hubris on the side of the bulls and desperation of the bears augurs well for holding the short position.

Well it may go higher based on those views, but you won't find me buying big from 8900.
Too many variables and not good to get too biased IMO.

I wouldn't say the Fed is the most dovish, probably one of the most hawkish...

Also, US labour market is very strong, we are fast approaching the NAIRU and we're likely going to see some wage pressures filter through as we push sub 6% unr.

I think the correct term is "only a fool would buy here"

you don't buy high, sell low... and the carry is only 3-4%... its not that fantastic.

IMO only a complete fool would buy up from this zone.. But I might be wrong Not what I would do..

perfectly true, getting long risk here is akin to getting short volatility right now. For sure it might work for a bit (plus you get a yield for being short vol) but frankly, there will be a blowout eventually (as there always is) so it is just not worth the risk.

Good luck I say to those who try, but better make sure your timing is damn good.

Well there we go, .88 tested, quelle surprise (not), typical market behaviour, some stops flushed, some weak shorts taken out, now back below, quelle surprise (not), so let's see now if they really mean business by taking it back up above 88 and holding it there.
I suspect not, but they might get a hand from the Fed minutes tomorrow.
Still see this at least a couple of hundred pips lower at some point this month.
They will raise rates no doubt, but that will probably be the last hike.
So perhaps later this year we will see 400 pips lower, 8400, but as ever timing is key.
I have no clue what I'm talking about.

any down move is pure consolidation. the trend is up.

mine is 8320 by year end. In any case I don't see it much lower than this. I think this may go to 8840 first.
