Disliked{quote} Just a quick question and don't get all upset with me here but can I set it for a buy signal when price crosses upwards across the -100 level and a sell signal when it goes down across the +100 level??? I know, I know , you don't think I should be doing that but I'm just asking, that's all, just asking?? Think of it as an early warning that something is about to happen and we need to be having a look at that chart, you know to give us time to prepare for our entry, after all if you only get an alert when its gone over the +100 level you...Ignored
Just a reminder... post 802 in huge bold letters you wrote...
DislikedWell the market is dead not a single 1 minute chart trending so if the 1 mins going nowhere , sure as hell nothing else is either!!! If there's one thing we all gotta learn its as simple as this. "If it ain't trending we ain't trading" Time for a cuppa I think, anyone got any questions??? {image}Ignored
This indi and alerts is going to be a game changer for me as now I don't have to watch for the CCI's to enter trend. Slap it on whatever I trade and only check the charts when I get the alerts. Thought about adding a sound alert to go with the pop ups but haven't decided on that yet. Right now the pop up is good but the email alert (well set up as a text alert through MT4 for me). It ensures that I know when the CCI first goes into trend and anytime it leaves and goes back into trend. For this system that is all I need.
Test it Clive... your -100 cross for buys and 100 cross for sells is flawed. Being alerted of this will only waste your time. Look back at the charts, look even at one. GBPCAD from Friday.
You would have gotten 18 failed alerts, 2 good. The two good were followed shortly by CCI 210 entering trend. Why? Because they occurred at trend changes. Too much noise for me. But like I said it CAN be done so talk to Ted.
Disliked{quote} Great job anyway it will be an enormous great help in bringing our attention to the charts at just the right time. How do you suggest we decide which charts we have it sitting on??? How about having just say 6 of the most volatile pairs (the ones that move the most) covering all 8 currencies so that if a particular currency goes weak across the board then we should receive an alarm telling us to take a look at it? I might suggest GBPUSD, EURAUD, EURNZD, GBPCAD, GBPJPY, GBPCHF I think that covers all currencies but also fits the bill as the...Ignored
