Even with the improved Building permits, AUD couldn't strengthen against majority of its counterparts as retail sales tested the lowest level since September 2012. The H4 chart of AUDUSD broke below the ascending trend line support stretched from May end, signaling a test of 0.9330 and 0.9300. Upside, resistance of 0.9425 and 0.9450 can negate the bear run of the pair.

I don't know about tech's at the moment but when steven says:

  1. Says A$ overvalued by most measures, and by more than a few cents
  2. Says investors under-estimating risk of sharp fall in A$ at some point

I am watching a potential EA trend change. Today is too crazy for me to place any medium-long term trades. I may enter if/when a pullback to the TL.

AUD/USD has seen a divergence of the daily RSI, the market has reversed just ahead of the .9523, the 78.6% retracement of the move down from October 2013 and it has broken back below the .9448/60 resistance (November 2013 and the April high). This move higher is looking like it is struggling and me would opt to exit longs at this stage at cost. Resistance at .9523 together with the .9542 November 2013 high guards the .9757 October 2013 high. Key support is the .9367 2014 uptrend, while above here upside scope will be maintained. A move below the uptrend trigger losses to the .9203 support, recent low.

Nice going KENA. I could not stay up to catch the AUD trade. Thank GOD I didn't short, I would of been in big trouble. Looks like they finished the cup and handle formation on EUR/AUD
