I just spend pages of data reading. RBNZ got it all wrong.
They are going to bankrupt force foreclosures, slow the economy amidst low commodity prices, raising IR is severely premature.
Higher IR means weaker exports on country relying basically on exports.I am going to hold my shorts.If anything it could be explosive dive down.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

Some things are lining up on the Aussie which could also be a big trigger.

Very stiff resistance around 9580 - 96 monthly 50 fib.
This would equate to 8840-80 or so on the Kiwi.

The Aussie is approaching this resistance while not a lot has changed here since the RBA rate drop that triggered the fall last year.

After moves last few days, is there anyone left who thinks NZD will fall?

Everybody else printing money like crazy, assures markets that they wont rise rates for years, talking down currencies, and RBNZ is discuss is it better to rise rates on every next meeting or perhaps skip one.

Move in AUD in comparing with NZD say it all.

once the last bear turn bull .. it will go down

patience and the ability to handle a DD even if NU goes to .90 is all that's required. (swaps are annoying but part of the picture).

I am. I still think NZD will fall.

Put advanced technical and fundamental analysis aside for a moment.
The basic of trading is still buy low sell high and sell high buy low after all.

And since almost everybody is now bear, it can only go up, perhaps to parity in 1 to 2 years. After that probably retrace for a while to 0,95 and then up again.

Yea... but he's a plonker.

I'm starting to see the difference with our mortgage the changes we have to make ..... not as many dinners out, and no splurges . So the retailers and business get hurt and everything shuts down.

This is the way NZ have done it for decades............ and at the end it never really works.

I'd be shocked if this ever went to parity.. it would simply ruin the country.

Yes, once there is no one left to sell to, she will drop. DD and patience, huge issues for most traders.
Swaps fees do suck though..expecially with more positions added and she still goes further north..It will be worth it, when it does come down though.. GL everyone with open trades on this. (and GU as well).

Yes, destroyed economy is only thing that can bring NZD down.

My country choose that path. For last 20 years central bank stubbornly keeps currency too strong which has destroyed almost all industry and farming. Unemployment is now almost as high as in Grece and dept rising to over 100% of GDP, and now currency starts to slowly slide. Evil central bank fighting that, but wont be able for long.
