Now, back to the divergent part of the discussion.

If I'd put up a divergent analysis, It's obvious I wouldn't do it on the overbought / oversold indicator.
Instead, a solid MOMENTUM indicator would be something suitable for the situation; For instant, the MACD.

Or, the momentum indicator I am current employing - Awesome Oscillator.

And last but not least, no... they are NOT bear divergent either on daily or or weekly.

The AUDUSD has bounced from the round number level of the 0.9500. So far it has retraced almost 50 pips to the downside.

So, you didn't know you were using the same indicator twice...no big deal.

I am sure a lot of others found the information on the Moving Average of Oscillator AKA OSMA interesting and informative.

Hum...

Given the fact that Australian economy growth is largely dependent on mining sector (10% of GDP on mining, 9% of GDP on Ming related economy) and agricultural section EXPORTING (second to the service sector), this 18-month low current account number just release isn't looking too good.

This week is cut short due to US holiday, Yellen and Stevens will speak tomorrow while NFP and employment rate is 1 and half days away.

Interesting pair to watch this week and I am watching it.

PS, removing the MACD from all subsequent charts, probably not the right thing to do. The Histogram is the indication of trend, and the trigger line is your confirmation....

I went ahead and closed the AUD long. Both positions. At one point, was up 60 pips. Closed it for about 20 pips or so. Will wait and watch.

OsMa is just the histogram of MACD (12, 26, 9).
MACD(12, 26, 9) = EMA(12)- EMA(26)
Signal line = EMA(9) of MACD.

Your OsMA = MACD - signal line = histogram. A good tool for divergence.

Appropriate the info, ffleo. I know them when the time I picked up OsMA.

Still, I would like to use it as its default feature and setting and as my oversold / overbought signal.
​As for the momentum indicator where i use to detect divergent, i already got the Awesome, and it has been working well for me for years.

Slowing down in China housing will reduce China house hold spending, that goes for AU's agricultural exporting such as wool, hide, skin and wine.

On the side note, domestically, AU tourism (service sector) will hurt at a corresponding level due to China tourism slowing down (chain effect to overall economy slowing down). China tourism in AU is current valued at no.1 in Asian and No.6 in the world.
