closed longs from earlier...took a small short scalp.

Currently flat and happy with that. The market will come to me and I'll trade accordingly.
"Holy Grail" exists - accepting where is the first step.

I'm still not fully convinced of move down, long still open. I'm waiting to see if a bounce back into .94. Not sure USD has the strength to push this down, even though that's what the charts are saying to me atm.

usdcad looks like it could break down side.

The AUDUSD reaches the 0.9400, but it stays consolidated around that zone.

To add on, sentiments have been neutral for this pair. It is almost a 50% long and 50% short traders are taking. Been hovering around the .94 mark for awhile now.

Shall see if the bears or bulls emerges out stronger in time to come.

when trading audusd watch out for gold and silver prices for a hint, the pair usually follows them.

Just my thoughts in a pictorial view. Could be the reversal of PA activity of yesterday. The Doji at the top is a bit of a concern as it is repeated on some of the crosses but it could be just the time of day/price.

As we can see, AUDUSD rebounded from an ascending trend-line support on 4-hourly chart but has failed to continue the momentum and clear 0.9440-60 important resistance. However, on daily charts the pair has already cleared a descending trend-line resistance, possibly suggesting that there might be higher possibilities of the pair surpassing 0.9440-60 strong resistance zone.

A decisive move above this strong resistance area has the potential to immediately lift the pair beyond 0.9500 mark, with short-term up-ward trajectory expected to continue till 0.9600 level.

I went long last night at 93934, thinking we were bouncing off an S/R I'd drawn in at 9390. We'd also shown a bit of demand a day or so ago at that level when the price shot up on Chinese PMI data. As it turns out, the real demand level appears to have been around 9360 and that's where price turned. (Pretty pleased with myself for holding on until we retested the .618 fib up at 9410. Jumped out for a small profit there while I re-assess)

So the question then is this: am I best off to ignore what looks to be S&D zones if they form around news releases?

FF should be your first priority, heh.

usdcad has broken support, NU is at top with further movement possible imo, EA is challenging support. Looks bullish imo. Gold is a bit of a worry though with potential for a further pull back.

Just to make sure I understand your question correctly and will try my best to answer you;

Could you please mark on the chart where this S/R and date and time to relate to the data release but IIRC, China PMI was last week?
