I agree with you regarding long term trading using daily time-frame. It is easier in my view and suits 9-5 workers.

Hi Olu,

Thought you might be interested in my take on Gold. After so many months it may be time for Gold to get going again. I have not had any interest in the Long side since 1750.

Weekly and Monthly pictures are finally starting to look much better. RSI and MACD are showing signs of life, and the recent W1 HA candle(smoothed) has flipped colors plus is a strong doji.

Needless to say I could be all wet, and we could setting up for another strong down draft. But I feel in my bones that something big is coming up.

I hear you AG. Fundamentals are pushing Gold higher and there might be more in store. If my strong downmove idea from the 1350 area does not pan out I will look to get long. Thanks AG. Please post any other chart where you 'feel in your bones' () are going to make strong moves. Sometimes we traders get mired in the small (possibly wrong as well) picture and other traders help expand that picture.

I don't try to read the PM charts anymore except to buy the dips.

U.S. 30Y yield chart (daily).
There's signs of a reversal here but I expect that in time that reversal will fail and she'll head back down to at least test the lows.
But in the here and now, I'm watching for a continuation of the move up, or a failure and a close below Thursday's open or low.

I'm out of bonds for now, having been mostly long for virtually all this year.

Dollar index daily chart.
I see that the bears attempted a continuation on Thursday of Wednesday's dollar sell-off (Yellen the dove, blah blah blah), but that the bulls bought it back up, resulting in that doji. It also came pretty darned close to a backtest of the broken trend line. The daily chart closed the week fractionally above the 200dma.

Thanks S for those videos. Real food for thought. For copper it might be better, this is me thinking aloud, to wait and see whether 3.2000 will be broken to the upside and get long from there. All this hypo****tion is doing my head in. Things used to be simple. China growth down sell copper sell aussie and vice versa. Now we have this China situation skewing the technicals.
