Suppose Japanese funds buy AJ up to 97, and UJ also up to 102.9, that leads to aussie at 9420/9430. If UJ does not go up but stays around 102, then we have aussie at 9500.

I don't doubt it. As you said it would help explain things. When compared to the dollar, the spikes in cable in aussie are huge on data releases. I was rather surprised we didn't see a bigger one on cable yesterday on the release. I think some of it was priced in and the EU helped hold it down a bit too.

Only if it spiked down then one daily trendline would be broken. Usually they just spike enough to change a trend or maintain a trend.
So cable wont drop that easily. when euro goes up, cable may go up more.

Hi Matts, I don't think any "fiat" currency has the right to be the reserve currency as it's all just paper anyway. Like all others throughout history, they will eventually return to their intrinsic value of zero. Only gold or such things should be a reserve. But we all know the big guns can't control something they can't print. So monopoly money it is...lol

Just my humble opinion of course.

Patience now.Both AU and NZ don't have fundamentals to back up these high prices.Interesting fact is when you are stretched to your limit and take the loss that's when price reverses dramatically.

Hey albchr, yah it will be monopoly money until something breaks. The Brits held the reserve once, until it broke.

I wonder if the Americans will go back into Iraq or more importantly if they can afford to.

In Asian and London sessions we actually are trading against yen, not the UDS.

Yeah, I'm looking at .8697ish as that stretch point for now. I'm holding regardless.
Might take advantage of GU for a little day trading today. It a good scalper for me in this range lately.

God I hope not. I won't speak for our corrupt government here but our people are just sick to death of all this crap. Still many just waking up but it's growing faster now. The power hungry money printers may have to, to keep "their" ball rolling but I can tell you the threat, or at least noise, of internal revolution is growing here.

There it is. Unhappy people with the way the country is being run. I think this is why so many countries are slowly pulling away from the US because they can hear something cooking.

Imo the Americans started something they couldn't finish in Iraq and quite possibly in Afghanistan too.
