can someone shed light on the statement that exchange rate non sustainable?

I've noticed the two tend to move together but with the NZD rate hike that could change for now, and the Aud has some news coming out tonight also so it may get interesting here a little later. Question being is the news temporarily holding the Aud down or is this the beginning of the two doing there own thing from now on?

they apparently want this pair to go higher, always pretending to be "worried" about the rates but taking all bullish actions, same thing happened when AUD was first running to parity in recent years,

Yes, they are correlated. But the situation could turn out differently from a fundamental perspective. A lot depends on Aussie data tonight. I have no clue what that will bring, it might shoot up, but on the daily we might build a HS formation with pin bars. I do not think I am experienced enough to make any calls here, but it looks suspicious to me. How is the smart money positioned? The only thing that concerns me is that retailers are heavily short.
Fix up, trade sharp ...

When in doubt "Stay Out" !!! If something doesn't clearly setup at an important level don't trade it. And I don't think we'll see any setups on the Aud tonight but that isn't going to stop me from keeping an eye on it.

IMO: a perfect recipe exists for bad buys on NZD....be patient with the buy buttons...

i agree with u,and governor in his statement says currenct ex rate nonsustainable as commodities prices are not factor in yet

So why the hell did they raise the rate for if its at a unsustainable level !!??? What did they expect to happen when they did that?
