First up day after two down days for a long and vice versa for a short. easy to see when you open the indicator in e.g. notepad.
Persistence will get it. Consistency will keep it.

Or first reversal candel (confirmed by the next one) after a swing.

You should wait for price to go far away from that level and enter in direction of the level, waiting for price to get back to it, riding your trade all way long to that point and close there your trade.

The point was: how do I know "how far" will go price from the level, so that it make sense to enter the trade ?

He wanted to say that a reasonable amount of pips for price to move away on a level on a H4 chart is 50 pips.
More rarely (less than 5% of the times) price gets away for also 80 pips before turning back and get back to the level.

Last Thursdays Tomcat Delicate level just got hit after the news spike took the demo trade out for minus 10 pips.

I have a Gbp/usd 5 range chart set up that I trade for real that entered at 1.6780 short and just hit the level at 1.6752.

ill use poochers g u trade as an example.ive had that as a key level since last Thursday.this level 16775/81 ,was a weekly level,a daily level,1 hour level and 15 minute level,all those projected extreme highs were 16809,22,29.the completion of those cycles once they hit the extremes was back to 75/81.completion of multiple t/f cycles,

so im suggesting the calculations can be traded either way,to the projected or as you guys are doing on this thread back to the initial signal candle.

Interesting new (for me) point of view.

Would appreciate some more clarification for a better understanding:

1) what do you mean with calculating the "maximum energy" of a candle ?
2) what with "its extreme" ? do you mean the High or Low of that candle ?
3) could you kindly better explain the meaning of "cycle" ?

Perhaps some chart explanation from people who understands what Diceman555 means would be great for me to understand.

I don't want to take this thread off topic so ill clarify and move on.

my posts refer to the question raised by a previous poster regarding EurUsd quote; On the 4hr chart I am calculating how far away price can move before snapping back

calculating from that candle ,im sure he is measuring the maximum point in which price will go.each candle has a potential cycle ,a mean high and a low.when I said its energy im referring to its limits, im sure eurusd understands that calculation .that's why his entries for the snap back are more precise.

the cycle are just that.price is consistently in these cycles ,that's also why he refers to multiple t/f.i call this areas of convergence ,the probability increases dramatically.
