OD has made something that works for him. But does he have the time factor. There are upper targets that have not been reached. Would you be able to survive the drawdown so far?

That's not clear at all.

According to your rule ("Any candle that has a wick at both ends and finishes up should have a target line drawn at the high. Vice versa for the a candle with wicks at both ends that finishes down") ... only candles with no wick (bottom or top) should have no line ... So your charts examples should show a lot more lines.

Am I missing something ?

Admittedly it is a very common candle....so it could just be a coincidence....and I believe he had some candles that were not.

If he is to be believed he clearly selected a lot less candles. Maybe the multiple tf confirmation was the difference?

I am not showing all the lines. Only the ones where price did not immediately return and where price is yet to return.

I think looking at those M1 charts EURUSD posted might be key in understanding his way because there are no lower time frames than M1 for his indicator to have marked those levels..

On some of the bars that Eurusdd highlighted if it was an UP bar it did not always have its target as the high of the bar and vice versa.

This was mentioned to me as a possible pattern that was noticed by looking at Eurusdd's charts:

"if there is a 3rd consecutive higher low, the signal is at the low of the 3rd bar"


"if there is a 3rd consecutive lower high, the signal is at the high of the 3rd bar"

If you look at the 1st chart that Eurusdd posted it holds true....but does it work out over time?

So you plot a line when you have both wicks on the candle ... Then remove the line when it is broken ... Right ?

In other words, you keep on chart only the unbroken lines ... Right ?

If it is true that there are no complex math or calculations involved and that we should be able to see what is in Eurusdd's charts then surely there should be a consistent pattern that is repeatable? But looking at this charts I could not discern anything more than what I have already said.

You may spot one thing on a couple of charts but then another chart will rule it out.

Hmmm.. I may be getting nearer...

From this chart I would understand 3 things more:

1) Carl is perhaps the nearest to your Thinking
2) Why you told him to take care about his posting
3) Why the last still open bar is Orange....and will most probably remain as such, but if I am not wrong until it is open it could still change in neutral (especially when turning againg South

What I still do not understand is why some of the colored bars do not give a level...probably due to MTF confluence needed ?

But I may also be completely wrong as well..
In this case, will patiently still research.

Here a test with Tomcat98 Indicator ( thanks a lot for sharing Tomcat98 ).

Demo test of course for the moment.

My thoughts:

1) seeing most of the "open" levels on the upper side, could this mean an higher probability for Price to be attracted from that direction ?
2) could this be used for studying a kind of MM to hedge and avoid SL at all ?

I just opened the short randomly nearly the next low level, with not further thoughts, just to see the reaction in the time.
Should probably wait for a higher level to short, but as I said these are just tests.

All still to build, just thoughts to share for anybody interested.

Just showed up to work this morning and my MTF target for EURJPY hit with an error of the spread.

I will continue analyzing, and write an MTF indicator to help display MTF targets.

One precise hit does not make this a solid method, but warrants my limited amount of time.

Most of those levels are correctly drawn fibonacci levels, see attached.
