{quote} I am pretty sure the RBA bases their decisions on data collected over the last month. Therefor you should have all the information you need to think bar perhaps, 5%. Your statement made it fairly clear that you believe there will be a change in interest rates I was just curious which way you thought it would go and what it was based on

Nice drop on the AUDUSD, but we are stil waiting to see if it touches the 0.9200 from where it may bounce to the upside.

from this level , if aussie bearish we need 9330-50
if it gonna dive down, then it's loooooong from 9190
level now 9240 , 70 pips from sell number 9330
50 pips from buy number 9190
few hours from now
i believe in bearish side, but not from here , even from daily point 6263

I don't know if this this a coincidence or random chance, but here in Australia (Melbourne), there has been a lot of talk about poor retail sales as the weather here in Melbourne has been unseasonably warm.

Have any other Aussies noticed this? Could this affect the upcoming retail sales report?

Hi Julia,

You've been talking about 9330 for a while now, have you got a chart to show your analysis, I'm interested why you feel so sure about that level. If we have a break and daily close below 9190 I think it more likely to keep going down that direction to 9130 or 9000.

cheers,

I think the recently released Federal budget will have a bigger impact on consumer retail sales than the unseasonable weather.

As a business owner in Melbourne, we had the worst turnover in April in 14 years. There's no way you can extrapolate this to the whole nation, perhaps it was just us, but I believe the budget definitely had a negative impact on consumer spending. The figures will be interesting.
The trend is not your friend, it's your master.
