There you are again S. Great thinking. When the expected doesnt happen the snap-back move will be exaggerated
There will be a massive upmove in the euro against everything. This could coincide with a retracement in the US$

Yeah I just think it's too obvious and everyones expecting it - but......what if we get some really bad numbers out of Europe and some really good ones out of US - theres lots a news this week and the German figures today weren't great.

The challenge on the euro is how to make money on the downside given that everyone knows that weaker policy is almost definitely on the way and given also that we have seen a reasonable drop on the euro since Draghi spoke those famous words.
I think being long the euro is a gambler's trade; might work, might not. If it works, it will be brief, although there is a case for a rebound all the way up to 1.39.
However, hoping for and getting 1.39 as a short SELL entry is a completely different thing to BUYING now, and hoping for 1.39 as a profit taking sell-to-close.
