I like the idea. The stock markets are moving up together at the moment. Even this RUT is a better buy than SP500 imho as it has been beaten down the most before this

I dunno mate, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole on the long side. Any rises are going to be sold into IMHO.

NZD is a good short from these levels IMO, but it requires patience. I'm hoping they will jack it up to about 8600.

Price is working on support right now. So we could get a bounce before the breakdown

Hi BW

I would have traded Lumber because the wave pattern is very clear and price was playing to the EW script. However the price on my platform was not linear and the open interest and volume traded was very low. I think this is going to 230 area eventually

Hi mate. Yes, it's not something to trade because the spreads are too wide and the liquidity isn't there. But I've said before (maybe here, maybe not) that lumber has in the past has given a good heads-up of equities weakness many months ahead.
It's just another one of those little puzzle pieces though; could be something, could be nothing. But I don't think it's nothing.

We attack the markets together on this thread. We communicate our trading ideas, strengths and weaknesses on this thread. We have generally been market-oriented and focused on this thread. But I am me and and we have personal issues going on in our lives every minute of the day.

I would like to communicate one personal thing in my life at the moment:

My father passed away in Nigeria last Friday (22/5/2014) after a brief illness.

I had a very good relationship with my dad and looked up to him as a good example of a father. His love and care for us was solid and sacrificial. He was accomplished in his career as an adverting executive and hotelier. He had us and grandchildren as well. He really lived an all-round full and fulfilled life.

As for me it is kind of bitter sweet. Bitter because he is gone and I will miss him dearly but sweet because he is with the Lord and there is no more pain or sickness with him. Sweet also because he lived a good life. Sweet because when I think about him I smile to myself with a wide grin depicting expressions of love and great experiences with him.

May God look after you and yours. Amen

He will be laid to rest in July in Nigeria. So until then there might be fewer posts and responses from me. I will be looking in though as often as I can and hope to get back to full steam after the burial

Condolences Olu - It's always sad when we lose someone we love but they never really die - our memories mean they will always be with us(JMHO).
Olu my brother,

I am very sad to hear of your fathers passing. You were blessed to have had a good relationship with him.

I too, lost my father 10 years ago this June and not a day passes without thinking of him and the wisdom he taught me.

God will watch over him now my friend.
