Lost 15 pips with 0.2 lots on whipsaw out

Looking at past GBP CPI /rpi releases, I'm going to only trade after the spike not before. Has the tendency to whip saw

din't trade it, too many historical whipsaws plus estimates rarely miss reality so make sense why it whipsaws.

I really enjoy this type of trading.
Years after I stopped trading the news this thread got me back into it. I was just googling "alternative ways to trade forex news" and i came across this thread. Thanks to Tony for such a great product.
Ive tried several systems / strategies and lost about quarter of my account. I hate trading demo. Always traded live.
Some breakout strategies were profitable if you can trade it religiously every day but my job and my family life doesn't allow me to do so. Also don't have time for PA analysis which can be profitable.
This is the first time I'm in profit for many years.
I'll keep posting my trades and see if I can buy a ride like Tony's.

very nice, thank you for feedback. what broker do you use? Does it have slippage?

I've always been with Oanda. No slippage.
Today I was watching GBPAUD and the spread went up to 10 pips before the news which is normal.

I like to give some new idea to the system. You may know from options there is a technique if you expect volatility but you don't know the direction then you buy a put and a call together.
So here we always buy? why not buy and sell in same time? We would win in both directions right? Well there is a small chance to loose both but I think its not very likely.

I thought about that one. You won't need stop loss as your positions will neutralize. But I couldn't work out how that works with spread and at some stage you'll need to close the losing position to make profit. While trading the news everything happens so fast that it doesn't seem practical IMO.

in fact I would use SL, so the looser will be eliminated. Same Tony's system 2x, same SL same TP
