How do these brokers for -Guaranteed Stop Loss- compare on spread when the market is live?

I have officially given up using MT4 (5 ticks) tick charts the last minutes before the big news hits being the core of this thread.

I have found MT4 build 509 still works properly with the old tick charts indicators but since MetaQuotes forced the by the majority of brokers (rejected) MT5 into MT4 (build 646 already) and the format of CSV files changed to FXT files format I can't compile any of the (free) indicators properly anymore error free or loose functionality on the live bit (offline) tick charts. http://eareview.net/tick-data/convert-tick-data
Anybody got it working in build 646? I forced my computer to use the build 509 to get around it but even with the webinstall directory deleted/renamed in the Metaquotes AppsData directory and not allowing MT4 to make changes the update suddenly happened (????) and although I always have a copy of all the directories at hand to quickly change back to the old situation I am sick of it now.

That said I have only found OANDA to have a 5 seconds charts (in JAVA format!) to be use-full for trading the news in this thread till now. I have only red pages 1-100 and 600-present of this thread so maybe I have missed something about the tick charts in MT4? This means you have to have an OANDA demo or live account to have any 5 seconds indication. OANDA also has good spreads on the compare site on average but with the latest discussion about an extra 20 pips slippage on stops hit and OANDA not being one of the guaranteed stop loss brokers on the snapshot above from Bernhard I am back in limbo to either have MT4 connected to broker X and just use OANDA 5 seconds charts in demo on another screen as reference or completely go to OANDA (MT4 and JAVA connected) in the near future as I definitely want to support a broker that gives me the edge with these 5 second feeds on big news.
I will have to decide before the next financial year here in Australia (1st of July) on a broker I like to stick with for the (tax)year.
Any more info to make the best decision out there?

I tried it once and I got rid of any compile errors but it didn't work and I gave it up. I might start over and really look at the code and what it does to get it working. I'll keep you informed once I have got it working

I registered with www.mt4i.com for a mini account and will make a test.
Customer service told me:

how do you tell if the forecast is good or bad?
I understand the result being good or bad compared to the forecast, but before the news comes out, what do you compare the forecast with?
Also, do you trade the same events as Tony?

I'd imagine he would first look at the previous news outcome for that event, and then see if the forecast was saying if they were expecting a better or worse result than last time. Basically, it is putting faith in the forecasters being correct at least 25% of the time with a 1:4 R:R which aren't bad odds at all. If going for a 1:2 R:R we would need 50% minimal accuracy and 1:3 would be 33.3% minimal accuracy by the forecasters to be profitable.
From what I have learnt however, is that when news trading we should be at least going for the 1:4 situations, however not all news creates such an impact and it is often better to wait for the big news where this situation can and is more likely to occur on a regular basis.

They have trial period but the license isn't much.

Hope not to get in trouble over this I found this thread on another forum from 2009 even mentioning this thread and the EA's still work and are free
It also has an EA to record any breaches in slippage (thanks for the good work painless...)
Don't know if this was mentioned earlier in this threads 630 pages... haven't finished reading them all yet :nerd:

I know this argumentation R:R is all over in forex but as a mathematician I do not agree. The higher the R:R is, the lesser is the success rate and the higher the chance to get stopped out. Just think at extremes and u see. Lets say you put 1:100 (100 pip win, 1 loss), it would be a very high rate to get stopped out, right? And in contrary with 100:1 (1pip win, 100 loss) you have a high chance to win. So you cant say you would be more successful with 18 to 100 pip as with 18 to 50, maybe you would have some more winners with the last 18/50

I'm personally choosing to not trade GBP cpi this time, I don't like my leverage on it.

For EUR ITS EU AND FOR USD its UJ ?

I'm personally always going long... as long as you have the same settings. On Monday, it's really monitoring... I'm always using EUR/USD because of the low spread.

Thanks for the search for a working MT4 tickchart indicator Electry I will definitely give it a trial try this week

Update:
All the indicators work good for backtesting but none of them are live like the old log & post indicators that used to work in build 509 (only always starting with the 1st of Jan 1970 date but because it was a live tick chart it didn't really matter it was for the price action happening). So the search for a working LIVE 5 tick chart in MT4 build 6xx continues...

you have assumed at random probability, this is not random; the assumption is a fundamental take off or crash of a market therefore a binary result with RR greatly favouring the account.

Your absolutely right Electry. I was checking other (old) off line data when I had the commercial indicator on and was mislead that it wasn't updating in real time on the offline chart. After deleting all the history created by (other) tick indicators putting the new 600+ on (DLL - imports was on before) it now works Guess I lost the helicopter view at the end trying to get the non-commercial stuff to do the right thing...

Testing it live at the moment on the EURUSD Weidmann Speaking. Can move all my trading lines SL - TP fast and the SLTP-insert EA works good as well on the offline chart. Top !!

Tony, et al...

Took my first trade this morning with the Buba speech. I don't like trading speeches so I took about 10p profit which turned out to be a good decision. Thanks for being willing to share your system. Though I haven't read through all 600+ pages, I think I get the gist of it. Would you consider the first entry to be up to date?

I have done extensive research on the EUR/AUD and the GBP/JPY. I might go back in to my docs and see if I can find a consistency with direction that you have on the EU. This would allow for more trading opportunities.

Thoughts?
