Penetration is associated with "loss of support/resistance." When penetration - movement in the range. In most cases. The question is whether we seek entrance exactly the level of the line or a few pips (1-2 pips) under/over it? I'm asking the the exact levels. Then it is often possible to stay out of the market.

On the chart there DownSwing & DownTrend. 345 pips in 6 days. The last bar is an InsideBar. This means that only a contraction of the price range.

There are just two days to 32 days. The first half of the second quarter. Then we can expect a ReversalDay. Normal movement is towards the end of the square - 3550. If the price falls below 3550 possible two things.
This is MurreyMath.
1. Shifting range with two or four divisions down.
2. Expanding the range to normal size. Then again there is only one square for the entire quarter.
I have no idea what will happen. I do not do the calculations mentally. But I'm prepared for both.

Important levels are far from the closing price.

On a daily chart has DownSwing = DownTrend. 264 pips in 7 days. The last bar has a higher bottom and top. This means NeutralSlope. For UpSwing necessary price to make a new high above 6839 before a new low below 6730. If prices do first new low below 6730 DownTrend continues.

The probability of new UpSwing we see from the table with probabilities.

I constantly put the question of a causal relationship. What is cause and what is the consequence? PivotPoins is the reason and price movement was the consequence? MA, EMA or SMA, Fibo or any other indicator is the reason and the price movement was the consequence? It just can not be true, because last weekend, I could not calculate the values of PivotPoins for this Friday. How can I know support and resistance in the future?
For me, this is no longer a problem. I know that the reason for the price movements are the angles of Gann. Yes. I know you smiled skeptically. Once the corners are support and resistance for me remains only to properly decipher the messages that the price given by their intersection or rebound from them.

On Friday I separated a few hours to show how I understand the support or resistance of the "last line of defense." But for me it was easy. I know that the angles are the reason and the price movement was the consequence.

Let me continue my work with the translating more.
I have always said that we need to take the fan chart as a map of the area. Maps which indicates the areas of support and resistance.
You will say that PivotPoints, Fibo and others also give support/resistance. For the scope in time I have written. Now it comes to the rule. The rule under which the price will move overcoming these support/resistance. As far as I know there is no such rule, even for lovers of Fibo. If there were "strict" rule, the distribution of retracement would be otherwise. There would be peaks of 31.2%, then 50% and then to 61.8%.

Just one more term is necessary. I often use it in their posts. It is the penetration. This is a rule that determines when a angle is broken.

Lost Motion: When applied to angles, lost motion occurs when a price penetrates an important support or resistance angle before it regains the angle and resumes the trend. Keeping a record of the average amount of penetration before the regain, helps a trader determine when a trend changes and with his stop placement.
