thx Sail , i usually risk 5 % per trade , and i decide to buy or sell according to the news forecast

good forecast = buy
bad forecast = sell
as simple as that

my R R is always 1:2 or more so i always risk 5% to get 10% or 15% or 20% it depends on the impact of news , sometimes i close my position when i reach 10% but most of the time i put it be and let it fly
ps: 5% = 20 pips always

excellent post, goes to say how much a broker makes difference as i too started about the same time frame ago until i had to stop due to massive slippage. who's your broker?

Yep, I'm sure you've figured it out but if not it lets you go back and find the dates of a past news event and then see what the impact of it was. I've actually come to the conclusion nearly that the only news worth trading imo is unemployment. Again, only my opinion. I don't have as much experience as Tony and don't really know the impacts of the Flash news. It is something I'll be looking at monitoring next week
