I am a Mac user and rarely have experienced issues with JForex. Even MT4 on my Windows machines often make troubles. In my Mac both JForex and Mt4 work like a charm. God bless Steve.

I read somewhere on their facebook ( DUKASCOPY ) they testing the new JFOREX4 software , i hope they release it soon with a better improvement .
I do agree with Toranaga ; why spending money on that kind of thing ( miss DUKASCOPY and so on ) .
Regarding my issues , now it's already normal

I had the same issues with LMAX. The problem, at least I believe this in my case, is that my Firewall is somewhat better than the usual drivel turned out with Winduz. Due to this the 'splash' screen does not load because the 'Java' system is trying to run stuff which is 'deposited into your system'. There is a brief window (no pun intended) after launching an App when it is possible for whatever is inbound to make it past the firewall. If that fails then the rest of the platform will not run. Not good.

I could be entirely wrong here, perhaps Bellieres (sp?) could respond; however in the past I was so tired of this that I resorted to switching-off the firewall during program load, and switching it back on again when it was running. Also not good.

I am convinced that this can be fixed, just do something about it you people in Switzerland. The LMAX trading platform always loaded, 100%, never any issues, a good and responsive platform (afflicted by crappy charts which can't load the splash screen..... and an American rule-set which imposes FIFO and no hedging). So if they can run a Java based trading platform.....

Has anyone experienced live XAU/USD (gold) tradings in Dukascopy? Are spread (over 20 pips) and commission really that high? Did I misunderstand something? In Pepperstone, spread is about 2.5 pips and zero commission.....

Strangely, I was wondering for how long will rebates go on when I opened the account (through Molecul6 as IB). They've become more and more notorious and with micro accounts al low as 100 € I don't see any benefits for Dukascopy to continue the scheme. It's sad because now they cost the same as Oanda. If only they had the new platform available for live trading.

At least I've got that order utility software from Molecule6. Oh well...

I'm opening an account with dukascopy , however my account manager required me a certified signature specimen. Anyone have idea where can I get a certified signature specimen in Malaysia?
Hope someone can help me here.

Does your passport carry a copy of your signature?
If not you will have to go to a lawyer and have them authenticate your signature on something.
That should not be expensive, cheaper if you are related to a lawyer....

Can someone enlighten me about slippage?

Lets say I enter a trade and set a stoploss break even at 1.7000 and say the price is at 1.6980. During heavy news release the price spiked up to 1.6995 and straight shoot down like nobody business. However the spread got larger to 30 pips. Do I get stopped out at this moment?
Is this what we called slippage? Even though the price doesn't hit your stoploss however because of the large spread it consider touched. Am I right?
Do dukascopy have this problem?

Max commission = £ 0.08 ($ 0.13 ) per 1 XAUUSD unit per round trip.

Gold CME quotes are to 1 decimal point (1305.6-1305.2 = 4 pips). DukaScopy is quoting to three decimal points (1305.589-1305.331 = 2.58 pips).

First, I never saw a spread that large on Duka when the market is properly active (maybe on Sunday night).
Second, you can set your stop so that either the bid or the ask price is tested against your trigger price.
Third, if your stop trips then the stop will be executed as immediately as possible at whatever the price is when the stop is actioned.

If this is a problem then I respectfully suggest that you use less leverage.

If you get stopped out of large spread everytime, i think reducing the leverage is not helping at all...
Anyway glad that you said you never see a spread that large on Duka.
May I query any futher?
How long your experience with duka?
Largest spread seen?
Any Major Problem so far?

I've seen so many reviews regarding Duka saying that the slippage is high. I was thinking that maybe the sl they set is too tight, therefore allowing heavy news like NFP stop them out with high slippage. I think there is no wrong trade, only wrong stoploss.
