It's legal to trade forex in Malaysia, but it's illegal to trade Ringgit Malaysia (MYR).

Good quick summary.

More accurately, for retail traders in Malaysia, it's legal to trade forex FOR YOURSELF (NOT FOR OTHERS) and with your own money.
I'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm not in the "convincing" business.

Happy to have a thread here haha....trading alone is not as fun as trading with own countrymen xd...anyone planning short nzdusd 0.8660 or gbpusd pending short 1.6990 can join me la...share trading skill or find time minum also can. Poor micro part-time trader in kl just have fun xd.

All forex trading is illegal in Malaysia. Even seminars promoting forex trading are not allowed. Only approved institutions, meaning banks and licenced money changers, are allowed to trade forex. You cannot trade IN the country but apparently they cannot do anything as you are doing it online with brokers overseas.
