I am not using any broker for News Trading any more as I have moved on to Price Action trading. If I 'trade news' I trade the follow through price action that happens after a surprise result but even that is rare since it isn't my main focus......

I'm still supporting AmazingEA but only to fix bugs and answer sensible questions. I would also like to point out that as well as not all brokers being the same, not every MT4 account is the same. People who trade often with larger lot sizes can negotiate to get better prices and conditions than others (i.e. less slippage). So if you are thinking that you are going to make a killing with AmazingEA and $1000 deposit.....think again. It's not a level playing field !

I see..about what you said regarding mt4 not being same and condition negotiation with brokers..i guess that's wat drBBMM did at thinkforex..he barely get slippages as many do.i knw he trade very huge lots...Guess the rich will only get richer..*smile*
EA just messed up my night. poped up only buy stop and AUD cpi went south. How's that for a wonderful trade?

This evening on NFP,I traded 40 lot (20 lot on GU + 20 lot on UJ) using Amazing EA, and 45 lot using SNW. Amazing EA worked well and gave good profit (5886.70 USD on UJ, and 3460 USD on GU) , but SNW missed (although buy order was triggered, I don't know why) despite the deviation was great (72 K).
Here the setting on UJ: AmazingEA 4-3-0.NFP12 USDJPYpro,M1 inputs: PointsAway=120; PointsGap=2000; ModifyGap=10; TP=1000; SL=100; NYear=2014; NMonth=5; NDay=2; NHour=19; NMin=30; NSec=0; CTCBN=0; SecBPO=20; SecBAO=5; SecBMO=1; STWAN=70; OCO=true; BEPoints=20; BEOffset=10; TrailPoints=50; TrailOffset=150; TrailImmediate=false; MM=false; RiskPercent=2.5; Lots=20.0; MaxSpread=0; AddSpreadToSL=true; SlipCheck=false; MaxSlippage=200; AllowBuys=true; AllowSells=true; UseBrokerTime=false; TradeLog=AmazingEA;

Woow.. zero slippage, full filled pending orders... But.. How can you trade 45 pips event with 12.5 spread? If you have 10 pip sl, order triggere and you pay 12.5 pip immediately.. How handle this spread problem?

The spread is the risk that I've calculated, if the price move doesn't exceed the spread I'll be lost. Most of previous NFPs could move the price more than 20 pips, so if the upcoming NFP move the price "spread+ 2" pips, I 'll get profit at least 1 pip. I use big lot only on NFP and on zero slippage broker. In P/L if our BEOffset was triggered we will be in profit "BEOffset" pip though BEOffset was much smaller than the spread. As far as I know slippage cause more problem than spread. If we get fill at the end of spike we will be lost though the spread is nearly zero.

Ok, i got it.. Your profit= spike-spread But, You configured ea settings SL=100, AddSpreadToSL=true. maxspread=0 . Doesnt your ea add spread to sl? Your risk is 22.5 pip? Is thinkforex best broker for news trading with amazing spread? Appreciate your experience!

I had to stop trading after 1 year in Thinkforex, because of masive slippage i had all the time on my pending orders (on my both accounts standard & pro) ...it doesnt make any difference. I did complaine to broker & they change me on other LP, but same result. In my previous posts you can see some trades i made, so u can see im talking about.
+ i was trading on cTrader too (fast platform) with this broker, but spread was there almost double as in mt4 in same time when news released & masive slippage too, so there is a little chance u can make money straddling :/
I was trading from vps, but it doesnt help at all. On my last few trades i have done i saw broker manipulation, so this was the reason i withdraw all my money from this broker & i left ...i got video on youtube (NFP news release), where Thinkforex doesnt open my trade during 2 minutes & when finaly order is opened i can not close it in profit, but only in loss after 3 minutes since order was opened = clear manipulation

Hey doc..You got any other noslippage broker apart from ThinkFX? Thinkfx doesnt accept clients from some countries and i figured they do slip alot..i guess they dont usually slip you cos you have over 100k capital with them,giving you special consideration and conditions!.what do we little traders of 1-2k do?

Correct! I use AddSpreadToSL to avoid my SL being hit too soon (this is a good idea formerly introduced by Alan), as I used to compare the result: A. Using AddSpreadToSL with SL 100 point and B. Without using AddSpreadToSL with SL 20 point--my Buy order was hit but the price retraced and hit my SL of B (20 point) and then price moved higher and hit my TP of A. If spread back to normal the EA will move SL to new SL + normal spread, this is the good thing of this EA (thank to Alan), so the loss will not necessarily be 10 + 12.5 but may be smaller. For me personally Thinkforex is the best (probably not for others)because it often gives me zero slippage but you should check on other's review personally (http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/public...rex.com?page=1) because the fill price may be different depending on the account size/type or order size.

No, I never got zero slippage with other broker so I moved to Thinkforex as recommended by MillionDollarPip.com and ForexGrowthBot.com after I lost using their EAs on other brokers (Hotforex, Instaforex, Exness). Yes they didn't give me slippage because my account was big, although I never asked/negotiated with them to give me special fill price. Formerly I thought every person got least/no slippage like me until I got PM from Piterman that told me he got slippage. So I asked [email protected] why this could happen although the account type was the same. This was his answer:" Your deposit size was very large so you have a very good liquidity pool attached to your account".

I think this is just the simple answer to this situation. So guys, lets rob a bank of $200,000 each and tell them we'll pay back in 6 months time. that's all.

Some analyst speculated Australia might increase the rate to counter inflation, in fact the government keep Rate the same so AUD/USD didn't move much. Traders that experienced big slippage would end in lost. I used small lot because the result was uncertain and there might be data leakage in Australian lock-up. The profit is enough to buy a candy.

I remember that someone in this forum stated that you should only use one Straddle EA per terminal because each instance needs a tick to modify an order. Hence with two EAs running on the same terminal I'd need two ticks to modify my trades. Does anybody know if thats correct or not?

It was a nice trade for me and I got 42.2 pip

You can run more than 1 AmazingEA per terminal and you will get ticks for each chart but I wouldn't recommend too many as the MT4 will slow down .....

This have been working extremely well with Instaforex, just keep the trades under 10 mini lots, there is no slippage under this amount and the spreads are always fixed. Just sign up through a rebate provider and open as many accounts as you want.

Due to the 5 minute rule and the 10% maximum gain in the Agreement, you can manually take control of the trades and move to breakeven after it is x pips in profit but only move the stoploss beyond breakeven after 5 mins have passed. Ensure that the profit on each trade is less than 10% of the account balance when closing a trade.
