what? central bank aint a player in the market? is they want ..they can drop NZD easily - so if they can do that it means they are the players here.

Government's have been known to complain about currency speculation moving the price in areas they don't want - truth is they don't control it, there are other bigger players internationally who will move price to suits their objectives.

market do not need to hear to central bank? then why dollar dropping when QE was introduce by FED? YEN sold out massively after BOJ intervene? EURCHF was peg at 1.2 by SNB.... so weird :-) and technically did you believe we would shoot straight to sky without going down?

Hang on, if we're talking about the Fed Reserve, they have more clout but when its the Governor of the Reserve bank of NZ it has a lot less effect on market sentiment. You can't compare NZ Reserve Bank with the Fed or the BOJ.

I never said that, in fact I agree. In my opinion (which may be wrong and is relative to the timeframe you are trading) what we are seeing now is a retrace before testing high's again, not the beginning of a downtrend (at least not until we break a lot lower).

So basically we are on same page, i would believe this pair will go up to .92 but not this month or next month... we maybe see deep correction soon

Central bank usually doesn't have enough power to lift up a currency against USD, but it does has enough power to push a currency down. Buy some paper and ink is what they need.

So when rbnz complained and threathed market, someone who is willing to sell at peak will help rbnz to finish the job, just like last year RBA threatened AUD, then AUD move to 0.86 area until RBA changed statement.

So before RBNZ changes their statements, sell NZD at high.

BTW, RBNZ may not make another rate hike when NZD at high level according to what RBNZ saying
