looks like there was plenty of front running...be careful, GBP may fall all the way by US session

some force may have hike price up to sell GBP high, dump it on unsuspecting buyers.

I believe this 40-50 pip down spike is caused by MM and big players. They most prolly pushing for 1.6785 support line.

I think market is going up , especially after MM's take profit . Most analysts predicted that if GDP was in range 0.7%-1.2% GBP would go up.

Of course it is caused by MM, who else? More sellers than buyers and the prize went down. But the move up before the news was so obvious, that they trapped all sellers before the news and trapped all new buyers too, perfect move and so obvious when you start to "think " like them

I entered and had my SL respected as well, got slipped $1 but that's ok. First trade trading this way was -1.34% For some reason I didn't get a red dot show up though, do you know how I can get it to display? Thanks in advance.
If anyone knows how I can get it to display that would be much appreciated

frustrating for GU sellers who got the direction right but got in too early and had their stop losses hunted down by that 40pip move up before the news.

why frustrating, just a classic move before the session, nothing new really, go back hundreds of charts and you will find the same pattern over and over again

I am trading "only" clear and visible stop hunting like audusd and eurad today coming out of asia session..

Bro,i also trade big news for 3 years and take advantage volatility from actual deviation.Have some questions.
Q1) I only tested Oanda for 1 month, only faced one problem: We begin to place orders two min before news cause of widening spread. This type of enter has disadvantages, fake spikes kills your enter.. You must widen SL if price goes against you(Gbp is crazy): You buy 1.3800 with 15 pip SL on 12.28 , price is already at 1.3792 on 12.29.54 (and you have big problem spread is 6 pip). How can you handle this problem? What is your experience, do you accept loss before news or widen your sl to 25 pip?

Q2) Our bread and butter is NFP. Everything is great and quiet before news. In example, if we buy/sell USd/Jpy 102.20 sl 20 pip at 08.28, if we buy drag sl to BE at 08.29.58 , if sell you already losed before announcement cause created volatility. How can you handle this fake volatility? You must have experience with this type trades for years, big players plays this tricks.. Appreciate your experience and answers..
