I see it too Srt. Look at it from this angle though. I sell 2890 or so looking for at least 2800 and you come in and buy 2800 looking for higher prices. You are right I am more selling biased and that might be from my mentoring where I imbibed the saying 'markets go up in stairs but go down by the escalator' or something to that effect. It is only partly true though because there is no stronger escalator upmove than the grains in a weather scare

No problem bodypip. I dont mind. I am not doing anything with nzdusd until I see a breakdown -retest -and move down. If you read this thread you will read a lot of posts that differ in opinion to mine. You are most welcome. Your ideas is very possible as I said on the weekly chart

I TP my short GJ. Prices are looking to me that they are set to breakout the ascending triangle and go to test the 174-175 area. I am long

That triangle idea with an upside breakout is still running in gbpjpy. We haven't see the breakout yet though...

I agree with you but I am trying to learn to predict breakout early to get a good RR. I am learning to do it by geting early with part position, then adding on. It is an experiment " which totally failed in predicting the bullish Gold trend"

The last setup has failed and adjusting.
But I still see a possibility to go up ... or itīs just a trap?
And in a few hours we have trade balance.

Hi BW

I faced the same dilemma when I got the alert 1.5000 alert. I didnt like the way the level was reached. It was too impulsive for my liking. As you said it appears there is room for more upside. And price appears to be showing an 'dirty' inverse H&S whth a neckline around 4950 and a double bottom pattern with a neckline around 4850 as well. So I decided to abort the trade plan for now. and look for more straightforward trades (to me anyway)

Well after posting of course it cracked 1.50 and in the end I added all the way up to 1.5020 and it turns out the high according to IB was 1.5022.
Sometimes you just gotta trust the theory and take the trade but I understand it looked a bit dodgy taking the trade when the bar was green.
We might see a second attempt to press up against that resistance, or maybe just a push at 1.50.

I am also short GBPAUD, similar set-up but not quite as clear. I am still waiting for a blow-off top on GBP crosses, but we may not get one and I don't want to miss a good short trade on GBP.

Target is based on a potential measured move down from the complex top, potential move to 100dma or 200dma, prior resistance/support etc.
I have a feeling there are lots of bottom pickers going long here. They might be right, but at the moment it looks weak.

Well done on the euraud trade. Another credit to the 'plan the trade and trade the plan' trading truth. We can take it that price was repelled from the neckline and it's probably down from here
