Hello Everybody...a big question...I'v tried this two bots with fxcm version of MT4 (build625) but it doesnt work in a properly manner..it doent works at all!
Is this a 6xx buld version of the bots or...? thanks a lot

I did not look carefully into your source code because it is difficult for me to understand the state machine concept in a short time.
I hope I can understand it better with more studying.
But with a little demo time,I think the bot(v66b) is smart with good profit protection.
When the tickets are in profit zone,it will put a stop loss line to protect some of the profit.
The problem I have right now is the broker I use have unfair spreads for the cross pairs,for example ,I get 6.5 pips spread for EURNZD.
Do you use ThinkForex?Do they provide good spread for cross pairs?
(Is it allowed here to discuss about brokers?)
been using the V66 on 4 currencies so far.
It has made trades mostly on GBP/CAD.
49 pips in these three days!

are the settings the same with only 4 digits (eg: GPBUSD 1.6803) ?
dear iamgotzza,i got 9 trade on two days with total profit of $12.80 so far mostly on GBP/AUD,EUR/AUD,GBP/USD. ( v66b version)

but ea doesnt show any specification on screen at all on these two pairs,do you have any suggestion for that? or should

i apply any magic number on ea if is necessary, i think this ea is a piece of art.

Can you check if the attached files, working in latest build after correctly compiled, works as you would expect them to.

From my tests it looks like the EA does not stop when loosing.

Need more testing.

I think it is the symbol with prefix. Need to modify the code to support it.

i design it for 5-digit if you are running 4-digit broker. I need yo do some coding too.
and that's many place in the code need to change. Such trailing stoploss function and stop/tp offset.

I think if spread is higher than the limit. The default if it is more than 6 pips spread it would not trade (and no message show)
please change the setting on the value of "UserDefine_SpreadTooHigh" variable.
Note that the number is in Points (not Pips), 60 points = 6 pips. You can set to 500 points = pips so it can always trade..

But there is backfiring here. In case of very dramatically rapid increase in speed during high impact news, I observed the spread is high more than 60 pips spread for a 1-2 minutes on ThinkForex live account and AGEA server also. Not sure if it does happen to another broker. It is two-sided blade.

state machine is quite simple idea to design a program into group of blocks of code.

e.g.

state=idle

"i'm waiting for signal" (checking any indicators)

"if there is signal to buy, I place buy market order"

"if there is one buy order, I change state to 'buy1'."

state=buy1

"I do trailing stoploss"

"if there is no order, I change state to 'idle' again"


About high spread, it would not trade if exceed 60 points (6pips). But you can set the UserDefine_SpreadTooHigh variable very high, so it can always trade.

yes, it does matter. If two robot with same magic number, they will got confuse on the "state" they are in.

I think what will happen is that running two instance of same pair and same magic number, it would change the state=buy2. Which means it will set the TP according to the condition to recover those positions.

So I suggest changing the magic number to different number of each chart window, even the same pair.


e.g.
running GBPAUD 2 chart windows

first window, set the UseAutoID to FALSE and unique magic number.
