For macro traders I recommend Soros' book, The Alchemy of Finance. The book is very deep on a philosophical level, and I skipped chunks of it to avoid 'brain fry'.

However, the middle section of the book is a real-time trading experiment where Soros goes through the make-up of his portfolio, the decisions he makes on a day to day basis. If you ever wanted to understand the thought process of arguably the most astutue investor of all time, this is the book for you.

, Miyamato Mushashi's Book of Five Rings has influenced my trading and research in an abstract way. Miyamato's short book is about sumarai strategy and sword fighting and has been very useful....

His writings excess many levels of conscience. It is also Jpn business stragegy, personal business.. personal relationships and more. Each read provides additional insight.

Its considered a "must read".

My suggested reading list reinforces Dialist list.. Douglas, van Tharp and Link. By his.. Dialist suggestion.. has opened my eyes.

But by all means.. understanding oneself.. and business conduct, which is essentially everything in trading... by reading Mushashi should be considered!

Jack Schwager did a really great job with his Market Wizard books, gives a well researched objective viewpoint and touches on some perennial truths that span the ages in the world of trading, as valid now as they were in the '80s.

Daryl Guppy. He is the man. He made his money trading first and then went into teaching and his approach is not like any one else.

I have used Rob's system and have great success with it. I shot him a few emails and received fast replies. His humor is great and his personality is funny.

Rob has my vote and my thanks

Rob Booker, for his sense of humor... but I also like J Carter and Van Tharp.

The absolute best and most complete book on classic technical analysis I have ever read is:
The Master Swing Trader by Alan Farley
......................and I have read a bunch.

I know what you mean about brain fry. Interestingly, Soros made his bazillians on Forex but in Alchemy he said he couldn't make a go of Forex trading. His bazillians came on a 1 time set up against the BOE and after that he says he lost money trying to play the forex regularly.
