Hey Harlen,

I'll tell the best thing I have ever learned about charts: "To the left is history, to the right is mystery". Charts do a good job of telling you what has happened, but not so good telling you what will happen next. Good trades to you!!!!!

Actually, history repeats itself. This is not to say it acts as a crystal ball, but if you look at long-dated charts you will find price action reacting to key price points. You can then see what caused it to reach those points, etc. etc.

Take AUDUSD decline in 2013. People say it's all hindsight, yada yada. Look 3-5 years back. 1.0600 has been very strong resistance. Fundamentals were also diverging with price action. I entered 1.05xx, took a little hit and then rode it down for 1,400 pips.

I find traders are either A) too near-sighted B) make things too complicated C) just don't know how to relate price action

Again, not 100% but to say it serves no purpose would be silly or we wouldn't use charts at all.

When the facts change I change my mind, what do you do sir

Although I'm a Bull on the Aud long term I could see a retrace to the .9200 - .9190 area. I'm tempted to short now.

The AUDUSD stays in a consolidation mode for now, and not until it visits the 0.9400 or the 0.9300 we may get a clear entry.
