As a non-native speaker I am always surprised by the fact that more often than not the word "loose" is used instead of "lose". "Loose" is linked to "screws" for me, not to "losing something" so maybe this is a linguistic evolution some linguists or natives speakers can explain to me? It is pretty common even among native english speakers.
