You can do the editing on charts and you can make videos with Jing.

I'm surprised you didn't put your fibs on it....

When there are fast rapid moves i don't trust them for continuation...usually a slow consolidation period follows..

Targets of the 127 have been hit on the h4 and daily....

Maybe a CT available down to the 23/50/61 etc....

Good areas to buy from following the system....a TC on the macd and a bounce of the 8/21

Hope you can understand the messy charts, there are 2 fibs on the h4.

Hey Richard. I actually did use it. See attachment. I used the 127.2 as a BE level. I finally got stopped out. The plan was to take profit at the 161.8 and wR3 level.I also took a TC on the EURUSD at more or less the same time. It was a terrible up and down through the day and I closed it on BE before the FOMC news that came out now recently. Will try and post it tomorrow. Not in the mood to do it now.

I really think I'm starting to get my rhythm and I am feeling more and more confident and comfortable taking trades. I go to the Daily and I look for my Major TL's that "cover" the price. I then look at where price is in regards to the MA's (still on the daily TF). I then color in my playing field and go to the 4H. On the 4H I look at where price is in regards to the MA's. Especially at the speed of the market. If the speed is on the 21ema I wait for a TC on the 4H TF. If the speed is on the 8ema I look for a TC on the 1H. And then of course the BPM from 21ema to 89sma is my favourite. There you can also look for a TC on the 1H TF.

You are right on the money....

I had that move covered earlier on the EU and then bottled it as i didn't like the way it was moving or wasn't moving...too obvious something was happening.

I know i am only playing 10pence per pip but that is my 10pence and the stop losses or profits are real.

This really does play with your mind when taking trades...

Bearish times are just round the corner.....

Try this video...its not a perfect explanation but it can show you,

How to monitor the h4 time frame to see the expected direction then go to a lower time frame to trade.

This explanation starts about 4.50 about going to a smaller time frame.

But you need to watch the whole video to get the idea.

I have these questions here for anyone who can help me.

I have mentioned to Richard that I hardly have success trading EURUSD and GBPUSD, remember? I started with just these two pairs but they seem to move so quickly (when they do) I more than often missed the trade. Sometimes with a few minutes they moved 30 pips or more. And do you still take the chances to trader with such a big move?

Another question - I understand that stop loss is larger now, even up to 60pips, is that correct?

Please start looking at the daily first.... get your ideas from there....look for highs/lows make your trendlines/macd and the moving averages.

The go to the H4 and make the expectation and then down to the m5 to follow...

Look at the attachment...that is a live CT order on the GBP..

H4 target back to the ma 8. this a short counter trend.. (not the best way to make pips)

Go down to the m5 stop loss above the previous high 10 pips and target the 8ma from the h4 1.6762

""edit... price turned around 10 pips before the 8ma (h4) went back up 20 pips then came back down last time i checked the charts after this post...""

I traded before I saw your post. This is what I have done. Traded based on the H4 chart only. Actually, the question I posted is not on CT but I think you might have covered it here already.

With regards to the CT of GBPUSD after reviewing advice from LAB and Richard much earlier. Made 5pip (50 in terms of dollar). What I did was set to BE after price has moved 10pips and sold 50% to bank in $50. Haven't the guts to stay in trade without setting to BE after 10pips gain. Certainly value you advice like was it possible to stay longer in the trade to make for pips (and how can this be done, other than the advice from LAB earlier) and is my analysis alright to have taken the trade (or was it by pure luck that I made some here)?

Hope I am not causing you guys burden by asking so many questions. If you find me asking things I have asked before, that's mean I have not understood. Sorry guys..... please bear with me please. And thank you a million times.

Congratulations on taking money...that is real money then not demo? Even better if real money..

I think 10pip SL you will get stopped out nearly every time on the 2nd part of your trade, some trades need to breathe if you get in early/late.

The CT looks good, you never know if they will turn around and take you out, like the example i tried to show this morning, i got stopped out and then price has made it back to the same area, a consolidation day...easy to lose on these days....buy/sell/buy/sell etc..

I will answer the questions i can or leave it to the real experts who are on here, if i don't know the answer well i get to learn more by studying about it, so ask away...

My broker offers the lowest spreads on Euro/Usd, Usd/Jpy and Aud/Usd...for a couple of weeks i'm just going to monitor and trade these 3...should be able see better set ups and see them building only watching 3 pairs....

Hello everybody! I am new-registered on FF, but i read a lot here and i am really happy to find this thread and this wonderfull strategy! I learn it for few monthes already, but i understand that i have to learn a lot still. Great that i found a lot of information on russian also (my mother-language), thanks to Phillip, who gave a lot of materials to a girl, who have translated all the information! This way of trading really helps to understand what's going on with market and helps to know what we can expect of market.
I am thankful to all who makes this thread alive, you do a great job! For now i found that the best signals are TC and DT with divergence. I try to watch only major pairs now, not to miss something important. I trade more often at 1H, watching 4H before and then searching signals on 1H. Sometimes, when trend is strong it's better even to find signals on 15M. The hardest thing for me is exit of trade. This is a real problem for me all the way in my trading life. What are your usuall expectations of a deal if you use 1H timeframe by this strategy? What you do when your deal is +15 or +20 pips (and your TP is 40 pips for example), but then price go back not in your way? I know that such questions sounds funny, but this is my real problem for a long time. To find a good enter is much easier, then to find a good exit.

Hi toledoFX. You've said that you like DT trades which are basically Counter Trend (CT) trades. I've said somewhere before in some previous post that if you take a CT trade on the 4H TF you can move to the 1H TF and once a TC occurs off the 21ema you can close the trade.
And if you take TC's and you're up 20+ pips, close half of the position to cover the SL and leave your TP at 40+ and then close the computer and go and do something else. Easy. Just don't tell Phillip I told you this but that's what I do. And there's no worries because the worst that could happen is BE.

These are just my opinions. I'm also still learning.

That is a good question, i am rubbish at managing trades...Lab made a good suggestion just turn the pc off and let it run...I can let a trade run over night but when i turn on my pc in the morning and if there is a profit, i can't help myself i usually take the profit....even though it has been running for hours without me and the plan and analysis is still in place.

Honestly at 15/20 pips these days i am inclined to take the profit and start looking again where to trade...taking profit and pips is a satisfying feeling for me.
(i have seen so many turn around and go to losers but then i have to study what i did because my analysis was wrong)

I figure when i am a better trader i will be able to let the winners run to maximum profit and this will occur naturally in my learning process.

I can't answer your question with good information, so I would like to know what other people do too
