I'm thinking, that GBP/JPY will range 170-171.5 as bulls and bears scramble for the next move for rest of week. I realize news coming out tonite, this is just technical conjecture. Anyways I'd like to get long at 170 as I believe this is heading up after the ranging/consolidating.

Its direction remains unclear.

It sits in a complex formation that, should it break over 171.6/7 becomes bullish. A break under 170.5/6 ish again is bearish.

171.05 ~171.15 is the middle - the pivot, if you will

To me, USD/JPY and GBP/JPY have hesitated at support. But even if USD/JPY does reverse up, GBP/JPY may not follow - as GBP may be overbought if USD gains strength. IMO

current H8 chart on GJ price looks very weak. In fact the only trade to be taken now is SHORT, unless UJ posts a strong runup.

Yes, obviously UJ is just hanging in there, but it will be interesting to see whether Cable can hold up down at about 1.6730/40 or not - if it even gets there
